Conspiracy theory

By releasing on Thursday and therefore dividing sales between it's first two weeks on the chart, it might help Little Mix get to no. 1 next week (full weeks sales and all that) whilst Owl City will probably be the new 'Whistle' and stall at #2 thanks to a midweek release.

Of course that's assuming that either 'Good Times' or 'Wings' are capable of getting to #1 at all, which I am dubious about...

Album songs don't get to #1 do they? i can't think of an album song that went to #1.

Leona 'Run'?

G'WON GOOD TIME.

Weird to release it on a Thursday, but might prove to be a good idea? idk.

It might be an advantage, if it doesn't take off significantly until the weekend...

I mean, how many non-chart-forum members even *check* for new releases midweek?

So what was all the fuss about then? the msn website was acting as if it was out to download tonight when really it's not out until September.

There's no point of pre-ordering it either, the people who want to buy it should just be patient and wait until 30th September.

The fuss was because it's only just been announced. I don't see what's wrong with pre-ordering at all, as it happens the EP is already #1 on the album chart similar to WMYB last year. :D

Can I remind you that Little Mix are No.1 on the iTunes Pre-Order Singles Chart. Therefore it will reach No.1 and Good Times will peak at No.2. Owl will regret not releasing the song on Sunday 19th.

That doesn't mean anything though. It SUGGESTS Wings is selling better than Good Times, but you have to take into consideration different formats and different download sites, and we don't really know if either is selling better/worse than Bom Bom. We will see what happens but I'm not sure either of them has it in the bag.

But unless we know how a pre-order #1 compares to a current iTunes #1 in terms of sales (which AFAIK, we do not), then it proves nothing more than which song will be fastest out of the blocks - not who will eventually win the race. Ever heard of the story of the tortoise & the hare? :P

Oh nevermind. But I'm still certain Little Mix will go to No.1, they have a performance on Red or Black on Saturday, and they'll be persuading fans to buy it on Twitter. So they'll get it.

But surely people who follow them on Twitter would be devoted enough *anyway*, so would hardly need persuasion? :P

I'm not not sure what 'Red or Black' is, though?

Does anyone actually bothers to watch Red Or Black, its a shit show. And probably doesn't even have a young audience.

I could see this happening! I hope it does happen because Good Time is one of the worst songs of the year so far. :puke:

Didn't Red or Black only get 3 million viewers last week? which was its first show! Am sure it will drop more this week aswell, Saying that am pretty sure Little Mix will be #1!

3.25m I think. Yeah I'm sure Little Mix will probably be No.1. They're currently No.2 in Ireland so there is a good chance they hit number one here :)

It may get low viewing figures but 'Red or Black' clearly worked for Cover Drive this week.

That's a fair point.

The fuss was that they'd announced a new single, of course...

And the point in pre-ordering is that there's a special live track that's pre-order only.

Where is Beyonce's, I Was Here at the moment? The video has recently been released and I have seen it a couple times on the music channels. I really hope it becomes a big hit for her. Definitly the highlight of her album 4.
Little Mix are a certain #1.

We said that about Matt Cardle, and he flopped at #6  But I think Little Mix are different to Joe and Matt, they appeal to a teen audience and their song is more catchy and it's been played a lot on the radio. Next week I will definately be on TEAM MIXERS, I wouldn't be surprised if it outsold Cannonball in the long run - I'm not sure if it even hit 400k. Vidcapper could help here :kink:
