August 24, 201212 yr HukI_-Vaa6E New single from him, from his upcoming third studio album. I surprisingly really like it given how poor his material's been recently, the chorus is so catchy. It's his fifth album, is it not? There was his first which went unnoticed, then Catch 22, Third Strike and probably another last year? On first listen, this makes me think that he's trying to ride off the "Heatwave" (Wiley) hype (is there any?)/he's still as irrelevant as ever. I doubt it'll be a hit either way, his most recent ones needed features from Pixie Lott and Dappy(!), despite not even being able to sell with Calvin Harris.
August 25, 201212 yr This is AMAZING!! I don't think the song sounds anything like Heatwave though. It's a different genre for starters. To me it sounds like Till I'm Gone, Black and Yellow, What's My Name, Talk That Talk, Roc Me Out, etc. The beat in the chorus is just like those songs, but, after all, I'm a Rihanna fan for a REASON, this sounds great. If I were to compare it to Tinchy's existing singles, I'd say it's like an urban version of Spaceship or You're Not Alone. I don't think it'll do very well commercially though. Capital FM haven't touched Tinchy since Let It Rain, and I don't understand why, since his songs are perfect for that station lol.
August 25, 201212 yr It's his fifth album, is it not? There was his first which went unnoticed, then Catch 22, Third Strike and probably another last year? Nope, fourth. This was MEANT to be released last year but it's been pushed back to November this year (or at least, wikipedia seems to think so). I just don't understand why he's still trying. It's surely obvious to everyone that he's never going to be massive again. Even if he DOES get a big hit, the album will bomb.
August 26, 201212 yr You guys should actually listen to Tinchy's raps, since he says in this very song that he's on his 4th LP! :P The song got played on Match of the Day just now. I think Tinchy knows he's never going to get a hit bigger than Number 1 tbh. It's just like how Nicki will never get a hit bigger than Starships, or Tinie will never get a hit bigger than Pass Out. Those songs are just too big to top.
August 26, 201212 yr He's releasing 2 albums apparently because they'll have two different sounds. This is the first single from his 5th album while the other singles will go on his fourth album. That strategy sounds a bit messy to me.
October 12, 201212 yr I saw him live (yes, shame on me) last weekend supporting Cheryl Cole on tour and whilst he was obviously attempting to please the crowd by playing some actual classics ("Number 1, "Never Leave You" and "You're Not Alone"), he was very cringey. I didn't even notice the difference between his DJ and him when they walked on stage, and the fact that they said they'd perform the new single as a 'treat' when it was clear the only reason he was there was to flog that dead horse... I hate to say it, but it's actually growing on me, but despite never going to get a hit as big as "Number 1" again, he's definitely not heading in the right direction if he wants a hit as good at that.

Come on, there's nothing wrong with an artist wanting to perform their latest single. I think Help Me is better than Number 1 tbh, but he's obviously never going to get a hit as big as that. Especially as a UK rapper, Number 1, Pass Out, Dance Wiv Me, etc. are pretty much as big as they can get.
