You did well, but Real Madrid were the better team. Both teams will score in Manchester. Still think Madrid will go through.

Depends on how you do at OT. You did what Liverpool used to do under Rafa, sat back for long periods with 8/9 people behind the ball and tried to counter attack with all the space. Fergie would be stupid to play for a draw, but I imagine he'll set up the same way again at home because Madrid need to score.

It was hardly a million miles away from doing a Chelsea, and when you see the league gap between the two (plus how relatively assertive City were against them) I would hardly call it marauding.

It was similar to Chelsea. Both set up to play on the counter attack, just Chelsea had a target man whilst Man Utd didn't. Like I said, its exactly how Liverpool used to play under Rafa against the away teams.

thank god for that, well done milan, someone beat barcelona. man, i hate that club. messi is arrogant imo and over rated. glad to see someone else possibly go through ::D:
I just quite like there's a possibility of 7 different nations represented in the last 8 with the potential of the only English or Spanish team through the winner of Utd vs. Madrid, that'd be quite nice.

Messi is anything but arrogant and overrated!

Messi may be arrogant but he's got a lot to be arrogant about. He averages over a goal per game in La Liga which is a staggering achievement.

Contentious whether it was a penalty or not but accusations that it killed the game tonight are ridiculous. United were ahead and probably had more chances than Real did even after Nani had gone.
I didn't see the game, but the reaction is absolutely ridiculous. This stuff never happens to Manchester United, generally the 50/50 decisions always go their way. I've seen the tackle, and people are trying to say the ref was wrong.. really????!!!??? It was high and reckless. Yes he was going for the ball, but he wasn't in control. I can see why he might have got a yellow, but was a red card. From what I've heard Manchester United missed a fair few chances, and Van Persie had a bad game. Sore losers, and an embarrassment of a manager orchestrating a media blackout from the club.

This. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Seriously hope UEFA put some ban of Ferguson, or Manchester United. It's seriously pathetic what they're doing. I've just watched the second half now, and United totally capitulated for about 10 minutes. It raised Madrid's game, and knocked their's. It happens, it's football. Don't recall Man Utd going mad at the Jonjo Shelvey red card at Anfield, or the Chelsea game with Clattenburg. The man's pathetic, embarrassing for a man of his age.
What annoyed me most was Rio Ferdinand at the end of the match clapping in the referee's face. I agree with the referee's decision to send Nani off, he never should have raised his feet that high.

The Torres red card at Stamford Bridge raises the hypocrisy of it. He got two yellows, the second one for a dive, but after his first one the United fans were screeching that it should have been a straight red. It was a high kick not dissimilar to Nani's.

And of course his second one was was highly questionable and killed that game more than the one last night did.

I thought it was similar to the De Jong kick, that's the first incident I compared it to what I saw it. I've seen the replay where Nani realises Arbeloa is there aswell. I find it funnier how Nani feigns injury ha, bloody idiot. Just sore losers, these things happen in football. Only they never happen at Old Trafford generally, which is why Fergie is so peeved off. Plenty of teams have won with 10 men before.

Roy Keane should have stuck up for Nani as an ex Man Utd player. As a Man Utd fan i just feel that there is no point of dwelling on yesterday's match now, Nani should have been giving a yellow card imo but the result is not going to change now so Man Utd should just concentrate on winning the double.

I think what Roy Keane's saying is completely right, and what Chiles says about being 'brave' to give it at Old Trafford just proves a point really. Nani was an idiot. It was a sending off. Plenty of other players have been sent off for the same offence. But that sending off did not lose Manchester United the tie. They should have shut up the shop as soon as Nani was sent off, but they didn't.
Why would Roy Keane defend Man U, I know he used to play for them, but everything he said is completely right.
No it wasn't right. Nani should have been giving a yellow card not red regardless of what would have happened in the match afterwards.
