The worst song of 2012 tbh.

It's not really a "song" though its just a gimmick. A very good one though. My kids still love it and that's who its aimed at.

Just because upon hearing it everyone thinks "haha let's laugh at the funny Korean man" doesn't mean it's not a song. It's a perfectly formed song and it's better than the vast majority of songs at the high end of the charts this year, too.

What an utter shit is just wrote there. Why is it not a song? Is it not a song because of how it's aimed at worldwide? I can inform you that in Korea, Gangnam Style was big due to its catchiness although I admit the music video did help it. Just because people like the song for the dance and video doesn't mean it's a 'gimmick'.

Still attending those anger management classes I see

Way to completely ignore him ripping your retarded point to shreds.

I don't need to argue with overly aggressive people who resort to insulting people who don't agree with them. If I am retarded I don't know what that makes you my dear. Always the same....

You insulted him by implying he went to anger management classes, actually. If you actually had a point you could have quite easily argued it but instead you resorted to simply getting in a snide remark because you know your idiotic point couldn't be defended. And sorry but no, I am not retarded. When I make a point I'm perfectly capable of defending it. Which is more than can be said for you, my dear.

I'm sorry but telling someone they are talking "utter shit" just because I made a point is not exactly balanced is it? Nor is calling someone retarded because they pointed that out. Is there a need to resort to such language? What did I say that was so offensive in the first post? Absolutely nothing. I don't mind this tune as I said my kids love it, but to me its more of a gimmick than a real song, more dance craze and phenomenon. A complete one off. That is MY opinion which I'm entitled to without being told I'm talking shit or being retarded. No need to be so angry my dear.

I made a perfectly calm response to you earlier, though. There wasn't a single reference to your lack of intelligence in it and yet you still ignored it. There was no need for you to be condescending to Oricon and there was no need for you to ignore my original post, but you still did it. If you don't want to be told you're an idiot then I advise you go back to discussing the wonders of Joe McElderry with the other lonely housewives of the board.

I'm so sorry for not being on the board when you posted the other post or missing it. I have a life to be getting on with! I insulted her? but she can use bad language over nothing and it's fine though. Messed up! And what the hell has Joe McElderry got to do with anything? You know nothing about my personal circumstances, yet think you are somehow qualified to question my intelligence and my personal life. The only person looking idiotic here is you. That's nothing new though from what I've seen and I won't be wasting anymore of my precious time replying to you. There are plenty of reasonable people around here to talk to.

Ladies, please calm down.

Or don't.

:D

It's as much of a "song' as many other things that sell well.

First of all, I'm not a "she". Secondly, I didn't offend or attack YOU as an individual but I was questioning your REASONING behind your post. So tell me, what do YOU classify as a song and give me reasons as to why Gangnam Style isn't one?

If someone can be perfectly capable of giving me a reasonable reason to justify their statement, then fine so be it and I will happily accept it. I however don't necessary get why is the song not a song to you, just because it appeals largely to the young generation and the party goers. It has everything in it for it to be a proper song. A tune, some vocals/semi-rap and has lyrics and is composed as one via means of verses, a bridge and a chorus.

I'm anticipatingly waiting for your answer now. ^_^

Everything is a 'song' whether it's something amazing like Euphoria by Loreen or something shit like Let Me Love You by Ne-Yo and it's absolutely ridiculous something isn't music just because you personally don't like it

It's also pretty ironic that you claim Oricon needs 'anger management' and yet you flare up so when you're challenged!

I beg to differ. :coffee: :kink:

So if someone called you retarded and said you were talking utter shit for having an opinion, you wouldn't respond? I didn't say it wasn't music either or that I didn't like it. In fact I said my kids liked it. I've explained above what I meant & it was ignored so.....the post was a complete overreaction to my original post and I stand by that. My reaction was to something else entirely.

As I said there's no point this going back and forth with those two but I respect you as a poster which is why I have explained.

The way I see it is that Gangnam Style's obviously a song but torresgirl sees it in more cynical terms as a gimmick and is probably not being serious when she says that it isn't a song. It's a matter of opinion really. I feel as if everyone's ganging up on her for having a different opinion about the whole phenomenon.

That said, there is absolutey no excuse for torresgirl to speak to other posters in the manner that she has - there's no need at all to talk to others in such an aggressive manner. Drop it now or you'll get into trouble very soon. I know that Umi has said some stuff as well but you should know better than to rise to it.

Can I get my Perspectives moderating job now? :kink:
