Shamless in my opinion made a surprise return to our screens on channel 4 last week. I am surprised in the timing as it is always January when it returns, i wonder what has made them change it to such an early return???

Had no idea it was back :o But I only dip in and out of it now and again these days anyway.

I liked tge first episode after being disappointed by the previous series. Jamie is still the best bit of rough on tv.

Haven't watched this since Mandy died in the explosion. I watch the US version though.

But it is ending on it's 10th year anniversary so it makes sense i guess. It's been an incredible 10 years!

It really is about time. The first two series were EXCELLENT, the third was good, and then it was all downhill from there after more of the original cast went. You still get the odd good episode but it's nowhere near the standard it once was. To be honest i'm surprised its lasted this long!

While still enjoyable the standard has indeed dropped, it has lost its sharp gritty but hilarious edge it once had. That said, i still enjoy the show and i will miss it when it ends but i had always thought it would end on its 10th year as i knew it wouldnt continue for ever like the way soaps do. Like others here, i have all the series on dvd so i will always treasure the show, i hope it ends on a good bang though. For now though we have the rest of this series to enjoy and its final series next year.

Yeah i agree with this. The series will always be a favourite of mine, even with the original cast that left early on. I've loved it all and hope it goes out with an almighty bang!

Ya it deserves to go out on a bang, while i do admit its not as good as it used to be its still one of the best on tv, the only thing i will say is less dream sequence scenes as they annoy me.
