Posted September 17, 201212 yr jFeAIODQTF8 New single (that won't be on the upcoming sixth studio album) will be released towards Christmas. The album is expected to drop in Summer. Doesn't sound too bad from the live version but the hook doesn't sound that strong either.
September 18, 201212 yr When did they say it won't be on the album? The album will just come much later.

September 18, 201212 yr Why won't it be on the Best Of instead then? They probably just don't want to promote this and are afraid it'll flop, so as an excuse it won't be on the album. But I guess it'll make it as a bonus track.
September 19, 201212 yr I assumed that it would be used to promote the Greatest Hits and would probably be on it? Quite like the track although it's nowhere near as strong as Red or Touch The Rain in my opinion. Bring on album six! Edited September 19, 201212 yr by MFPG
September 22, 201212 yr Greatest Hits? What? Another one?? Surely not! That's the rumour! It's listed under new released on Buzzjack too.

But I guess it'll make it as a bonus track. The story is.......The song was only written a few weeks ago and Mcfly quite liked it They played it at thier recent American shows and then added it to youtube and went down well with fans there as well as here. Mcfly don't want to release anything from album 6 untill early next year (the album is due summer 2013) so decided to release this as they've not given UK fans much lately and it will be used to promote their first ever autobiography and Greatest Hits album
September 23, 201212 yr Greatest Hits? What? Another one?? Surely not!Yes. If you signed up to their Super City website search the news section and it mentions the Greatest Hits. Mcfly are releasing the best of 2004-2012 in time for their First Ever Autobiography and to mark almost 10 years since they begain. 'To coincide with the release of the autobiography, Mcfly will be releasing a Greatest Hits album later this year with the brand new album due summer 2013. This autumn we will be celebrating Mcfly's amazing journey so far and we can't wait to share all the stories as well as excitement for the future. Mcfly's here forever!' September 23, 201212 yr Tom just said on Twitter that they are recording the first ever TV performance of it tonight The show is pre-recorded and they've not said what it is yet
September 24, 201212 yr I did sign up to the Super City but haven't been on it for ages. I still think releasing a Greatest Hits just 2 albums/6 singles after the last Greatest Hits is ridiculous and totally unnecessary! It might even become the first McFly release I don't buy... September 24, 201212 yr Sounds pretty good. It'll keep things ticking over until the new album next year if nothing else...and I can't wait to read their autobiography! I've heard it's quite gritty...

I still think releasing a Greatest Hits just 2 albums/6 singles after the last Greatest Hits is ridiculous and totally unnecessary! It might even become the first McFly release I don't buy...They didn't want to release the Greatest Hits back in 2007 they were forced by Island Records (Hense them leaving) it sounds like their plan was always to have 5/6 albums and then a Greatest Hits with an Autobiography to enter their 10th years. Sadly Island didn't let them do this. Im up for having all the hits 2004-2012 all on one CD and hopefully we get a better booklet and everything this time.

I've heard it's quite gritty...Yeah....It's also 100% in their worlds and didn't want anything done with it untill they were 100% happy with it. They have a signing at waterstones on11th in London at 5:30pm (more to be announced) They are on the Big Fat quiz00 tonight at 9:00pm Channel 4 They will also be on Chatty Man:Alan Carr Friday 12th at 10:00pm Channel 4 and soon to be aired (one-off special) of Surprise,Surprise

I still have the deluxe copy of their last greatest hits (and the 'Greatest Bits' b-sides album you could get if you brought it from Woolworths - how times have changed!). But you're right it was rushed but it was purely because of how 'Motion in the Ocean' had performed as an album and Island thought they could write them off to a split as it were.
October 1, 201212 yr I am surprised by McFly that they always manage to get their albums certified Gold and that is enough for them to make another album. Don't get your hopes up with this, most likely its a budget release and they know it will flop. I just hope we get a lot of bonus tracks. I wonder which singles they plan to cut from this release, as they have too many now and I don't think they'll be spread into 2 discs. Here's my ideal tracklist in order of release. 01. Five Colours in Her Hair 02. Obviously 03. That Girl 04. All About You 05. I'll Be OK 06. I Wanna Hold You 07. Please, Please 08. Star Girl 09. Friday Night 10. The Heart Never Lies 11. One for the Radio 12. Lies 13. Do Ya 14. Party Girl 15. Shine a Light 16. That's the Truth 17. Red 18. Love Is Easy 19. New Track
October 1, 201212 yr My ideal tracklist would be something like: 01. "Star Girl" 02. "Shine a Light" 03. "5 Colours in Her Hair" 04. "All About You" 05. "Obviously" 06. "Transylvania" 07. "Party Girl" 08. "Please, Please" 09. "Lies" 10. "I'll Be OK" 11. "That Girl" 12. "Love is Easy" I'm looking forward to hearing the studio version of the single though! Their last album really surprised me, it's a shame it didn't receive much success. Edited October 1, 201212 yr by THEO.
