Robbie Williams becomes a dad

ROBBIE Williams became a dad tonight as wife Ayda gave birth to a baby girl.

The overjoyed Take That star, 38, dashed to be with heavily-pregnant Ayda Field, 33, when she went into labour eight days premature.

She later gave birth at London's private Portland Hospital — and the singer's close pal Jonathan Wilkes tweeted: "Just had the best news!"

The tot's arrival comes just two days after Robbie finished a string of solo comeback gigs — during which he joked about rushing off-stage if Ayda gave birth.

He also hinted that doctors might have to induce labour on his pregnant spouse.

Before his gig in Dublin on September 14 he said: "We thought the baby was going to have to be induced today."

Let Me Entertain You crooner Rob met Ayda in 2006 — marrying four years later at his home in Los Angeles.

In March this year they announced that Ayda was expecting their first child.

Later the pair revealed the baby would be a girl — and her due date was September 26.

Speaking about his pregnant wife to The Sun last week, Robbie said: "Ayda's like a very slim girl with a basketball — from the back you can't tell she's pregnant.

"She has been like an athlete where being pregnant is concerned — she's been a machine."

He also talked about the daunting prospect of becoming a parent for the first time.

He said: "It's so alien and also I've lived a very selfish life for a very long time where I haven't had to do anything for myself.

"I still don't know how to do anything for myself and there's a little person who's going to appear within the week maybe and I'm crapping it because if I don't know how to look after me, how can I look after her?

"But I'm sure this is all very natural."

Well done to Rob and Ayda. He really cut it close didn't he? Only two days after his last gig. I doubt we will hear much from him now until late October when the single is out. I bet he is ecstatic tonight :D
Congrats to Ayda and Robbie. I don't know why but I was really happy reading about it. He seems so genuinely over the moon (why shouldn't he be). I adore the name - full or shortened to Teddy or Theo! And YES - Theo can be a girl's name too!
Finally!! Welcome to the new baby Teddy. Well done Ayda and of course Robert also ... a bit ;)

Awwwwwww. How tiny is that baby? And how chuffed does he look? Lovely photo

He really needs to stop with the tattoos now. Ziggy thought she noticed a couple of additions. I think she is correct. <_< What's that thing at the bottom of his left arm? It looks like a Flying Saucer on a stalk

Wednesday's child if full of woe!

Robbie Williams has admitted that his wife Ayda Field did not want their baby to be born on a Wednesday.

The couple had their first baby, daughter Theodora Rose on Tuesday September 18.

Williams said he always remembers the Monday’s Child nursery thyme which states that a child born on Wednesday is “full of woe”.

Speaking to Greg James on Radio 1: “I was born on a Wednesday and Wednesday's child is full of woe.

“I was full of woe. I believed in the poem during my 20s.”

The couple were pleased the daughter was born on Tuesday, when children are said to be “full of grace”.

The former Take That member also admitted that he was trying to swear less not he is a dad.

He said: “I do have a potty mouth, I really do. I am going to have to curb it.”

 Idiot.

I was born on a Sunday :teresa:

Nah! It looks like something I scrawled on the back of my hand before I went into an Algebra exam! Nothing to worry about - just shows what a student Robbie can be!

The full thing is (and I haven't even googled this):

Monday's child is fair of face

Tuesday's child is full of grace

Wednesday's child is full of woe

Thursday's child has far to go

Friday's child is loving and giving

Saturday's child works hard for a living

But the child that is born on the sabbath days is ....... something and gay.

I was born on a Sunday but I'm not gay although sometimes I wish I was!

Kath

Loving, kind, good and gay ( I think  )

I'm not gay either :P
