I knew this song was a big number 1 hit but I didnt realise it had such a short chart run. It really did drop down after leaving the Top 10.

I guess the majority of the UK population bought the song whilst it was no. 1 so by the time it started dropping, there was hardly anyone left to buy the song. Or perhaps the record company decided to strop pressing more copies of the single it's downward spiral was down to the amount of stock left in the warehouse.

Which means another massive UK #1 could appear soon as that also had a swift drop down the charts despite spending what seemed like forever at #1.

I would love to find out the weekly sales of this song. I like it but I dont think its that special that it would sell that much.

I thought you'd made a mistake here at first and meant Andy Williams but it seems like Andy's version of the song (I assume it's the same song) was never released as a single! How coincidental that someone else with an almost identical name released it. I'm sure Andy's version is a lot more well-known as well but I don't know that for sure :P

This had such an amazing chart run for a song that only got to number 16

Does vidcapper have sales for this, I wonder?

Love this song, one of my favourites from the 80s, it has such an upbeat feel to it!
