I've decided to do this now mainly because I'm bored and I just recently stumbled across all my old personal charts (which began in 1999). This Top 200 countdown is based not only on those charts but how often I listen to those songs now to give it some relevance. It's a Top 200 mainly because I initially was only going to be doing a Top 50 but the ended up really enjoying compiling it so made it a Top 200

Pretty broad music taste here and I think this countdown offers a bit of everything from S Club Juniors to Evanescence. Hope you enjoy!

200. Atomic Kitten // If You Come To Me // November 2003

I was a big Kittens fan back in the day, though secretively as I had a hard man reputation to maintain, and I do look back now with slight embarrassment over how much I did like them. Anyway, this was the lead single from their third and last album "Ladies Night". A nice little love song that I don't really see any harm in liking

199. Nelly feat. Kelly Rowland // Dilemma // October 2002

Ah, I'd actually forgotten how much I loved this. First and last appearance for Nelly on this countdown though Rowland has 2 more appearances as a member of Destiny's Child

198. Britney Spears // Ooops! I Did It Again // May 2000

Ooops! is a fine pop record and one I was happy to spend my pocket money on that week. I had such a crush on Britney back in 2000; I had posters the lot. Kinda over that now but I do still get a little excited (no, not in that way) whenever she releases new music. As I'm sure every child of the Britney generation does

197. Busted // You Said No // May 2003

Maybe it's because I wasn't a 10 year old girl in 2003 but I was never all that into Busted bar the three songs which appear in this countdown. The first of those is "You Said No" which became the boys first #1 in May 03 but peaked at just #14 in my charts. It's appearance here is down to me re-discovering it a few years ago and being won over finally by it

196. Arctic Monkeys // When The Sun Goes Down // January 2006

Being a Sheffield lad and proud I remember the fuss about the Arctic Monkeys around this time very well. Average lads from our own streets were making it in the charts, it was something we'd never seen before and very exciting and we all of course rushed out to buy the album. When The Sun Goes Down was my favourite track on the album by far and as much as I liked I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor I did feel the album was a tad overrated and my excitement about the Arctic Monkeys soon subsided

195. Jay Sean feat. Lil Wayne // Down // November 2009

Right to the tail end of the decade now with the song that broke Jay Sean on the other side of the Atlantic with Down hitting #1 in the US. I loved this song pretty much the moment I heard it and nothing Sean has done since (or before) has come close. Lil Wayne, who I normally hate, adds to the song quite well too

194. Chris Brown // Forever // June 2008

There was actually a time in my life when I really liked Chris Brown but since that incident I just can't bring myself to like him again. I did love Forever though, most people prefer With You but I just find that so dull. Forever is like a livelier With You and I loved it's use in the Pam & Jim wedding episode of the office

And for my own amusement

193. Nelly Furtardo // All Good Things (Come to an End) // November 2006

My personal favourite single from the 'Loose' era now is the first of four entries for Furtardo on this countdown. I wasn't too pleased about her more urban direction as I loved her previous albums but even I couldn't deny what a gorgeous little number this was

192. Angel City // Sunrise // February 2005

Bet I'm the only one who remembers this! I adored this track for ages when it came out, I'm not a dance music fan normally and I really have to like a song to listen to it by choice.

191. Sugababes // Too Lost In You // December 2003

My second favourite girlband of the decade make their first appearance on their chart with Too Lost In You. A song from the middle of the bands 02-05 golden era when they were actually respected in the music industry. They've kinda become a laughing stock now with all the member changes but for a period of about four years they were bloody fantastic

190. Hilary Duff // Wake Up // November 2005

There really isn't much Disney related stuff in this countdown (this is 1 of 2) but I just found this song so addictive in late 2005. Duff had been a favourite of mine for some years by that point and as much as I do love her earlier stuff I now see it as a bit cringey. Wake Up is an exception though, a brilliant little pop song that takes me back to the last time in my life where I was a kid with no worries in the world

189. T.A.T.U // All The Things She Said // February 2003

Pretty sure this was the video that introduced me to the concept of lesbianism ^_^ Never the less I actually did really love this song for about three months and though it never managed to get passed #3 on my personal chart it stuck around for a hell of a long time. Shame their subsequent releases didn't please me in the same way; I liked All About Us but soon realized it was pretty much the same song

188. Razorlight // America // October 2006

In some ways this song is a kind of reflection of my childhood. Born in 1991 I did seem to spend a lot of my early life watching trouble in America. I remember witnessing the 9/11 attacks live on TV (I was home sick that day) and with the subsequent wars it deffinately seems as if my childhood was spent watching 'trouble in America'. That's my reflection anyway.

187. Son of Dork // Ticket Outta Loserville // November 2005

I know it's bad, you know it's bad. Clearly the 2005 me did not agree with this song spending 2 weeks at #2 on my personal chart. Embarrassing

186. Girls Aloud // Something Kinda Oooh /October 2006

First entry now for my favourite girl band of the decade and they will be making plenty more appearances in this chart. I'm particulary fond of this song as it was the song that was playing when I first kissed Jennifer, still my girlfriend now after 6 years, at a party when we were 14.

Pleased to see GA make an appearance- my fave group of the 00s!

185. The Veronica's // 4Ever // May 2006

Officially the first song I discovered via YouTube now and it didn't get a release in the UK until 3 years later. Not that I was bothered by that, I quite liked the fact it was my little secret

184. Nelly Furtardo // Try // March 2004

Unpopular opinion maybe but the 'Folklore' era is actually my favourite era of Nelly's. Try also succeeds where a lot of ballads don't tend to with me - in that I can actually listening to it without getting bored and switching it off (Take that ADHD)
