This song's listenable but it is in no way one of the best power ballads of the 80s. This was the only hit single for Berlin, it returned back to the top 3 in 1990 when they re-released it (don't ask me why lol)

 

I remember a mini-trend in the early 90's to re-release big film theme songs when the film got their TV premiere- also resulted in 2nd time around hits for Roxette It Must Have Been Love (Pretty Woman) and Bill Medley/ Jennifer Warnes I've Had The Time Of My Life (Dirty Dancing)

In my opinion this is one of, if not THE best song of all time. 2009 was such a good year for music and this song explains why. Classic hip-hop beats mixed with electro and fantastic lyrics. The Black Eyed Peas couldn't have made a comeback in a better way! We have two more songs from the BEPs in this countdown, one of them from 2009, the other from 2003.
