Number 30 this week, its better than i thought it would end up, hopefully it wont plummet next week. Sales should be in or around 110,000 in total now.

Good news, Something New is number 36 in todays mid week tracking. Lets hope it can remain in the top 40 when we see the chart rolled out on sunday.

I was delighted when i saw it back in the top 40, not sure if it will stay there but it should stay top 45 at the worst. Hopefully it can remain fairly steady next week too.

I loved the performance of this on Top of the Pops. The vocals were great and I loved the outfits. Sarah could do with elongating the last note during her "follow the leader" chant, but at least it wasn't as disastrous as when she did it at the Jingle Bell Ball. It's currently #53 on iTunes, which I doubt is even much of an improvement of where it was pre-performance.

It was #69 at one stage on itunes, so it has improved, hopefuly they will stay top 60 this week with something new. I just love this song, while it has done ok, it deserves so so much more success.

Sarah live is just awful. That whaling she does with every note is dreadful. The other 4 must cringe.

I dont think Sarah is that bad, Cheryl is the weakest and conidering how she has done 3 albums and alot of solo performances her vocal should be stronger. Overall though they are great live. gain it just shows what promotion does. Every bit of promo has seen a sales increase for them, shame there wasnt more especially when it was released as i think it could have sold so so much more.

Oh I love Sarah's part in this song, it literally makes the song for me (along with the chant and Nadine's I LIKE IT LIKE THAT). She might be dodgy live sometimes (*ahem* GMTV... :lol:) but I do love her.

I think Sarah's voice was brilliant during the Chemistry era, especially on the Chemistry tour (assuming of course, the songs haven't been dubbed TOO much.) From TU tour onwards, I cringe at some of the vocals. She does excel on The Promise though.

From listening to them on various live clips i have to say i have got to like Nicolas voice more and more.

Honestly, I believe Nadine and Nicola are the only actually good vocalists in the Aloud.

 

Every member has their place though.

They do all have their place and i agree about nadine and nicola but kimberley's voice as has her personality has grown on me so so much.

I agree sarah has her moments especially on the Promise - however live she is horrific out with her verse on SN. Kimberley has improved so much whihc is great to see.

Something new continues to re-climb, its up 4 places again this week to number 49, i heard it played in parts on tonights Dancing On Ice so hopefully that will help add a few sales.

It will probably stick around the 41-75 mark for a while, in typical Girls Aloud fashion!

That would be good after its initial fast pased decline.

I am hoping it will stay around, i would hope it can eventually manage 200,000 sales.
