I love Alien though, such a soothing opener. Especially like the 'not alone' parts.

Alien is.....WOW.

Listening now, eurgh It Should Be Easy is horrendous.

Alien is by far my favourite on the album, and even then I feel like it had the potential to be more complete. The vocal effects really are quite jarring, but I think I like them, haha.

 

Why are so many of the choruses so bad on here? (I'm looking at you, 'It Should Be Easy' (although that whole song is an abomination), Tik Tik Boom, Chillin' With You (totally out of place).)

 

Til It's Gone is the best 'banger' on here, mainly in part to the fact that there's actually a bit of meat to the beat.

 

The only other songs that are somewhat grabbing me are Passenger and Don't Cry (although I think the latter only does so because the melody reminds me very much of another song, that I can't yet place...)

 

 

I'm really not feeling this at all on first listen. Till It's Gone and Passenger and the only songs to excite me other than Work Bitch. Hopefully its a grower!

Britney Jean is such a disappointment, hopefully it will grow on me in time but I really think this could be my least favourite album of hers.

 

Alien - 8/10 - Nice relaxed song, could have done without the changes but still good.

Work Bitch - 9/10 - Still amazing and catchy as hell.

Perfume - 8/10 Much prefer the Dreaming mix but still great.

It Should Be Easy - 0 - Can't stand Will.I.Am, but Big Fat Bass was bearable...this is all kinds of hideous

Tik Tik Boom - 4/10 - Boring as hell

Body Ache - 5/10 - Not much better than Tik, just a very bland song

Til' Its Gone - 8/10 - Much more power than the previous two attempts before it, but still nothing too special.

Passenger - 7/10 - I've not really got the hype around this song it sounds a little dated and nothing like the Britney I love, but then not much of this album does.

Chillin' With You' - 8/10 - Reminds me of something that would be on BOMT, in a good way though, I just dont like Brit and Jamie singing "chu" it especially doesn't fit Jamie's voice.

Don't Cry - 5/10 - Bland and forgettable ending to a lacklustre album.

Alien 4.5/5 - Need some time to become perfect song.

Work Bitch 4.5/5 - Weird lead single, risky but very good song!

Perfume 4.5/5 - Amazing vocals, maybe with the video will become clear 5.

It Should Be Easy 3.5/5 - Umm omg that autotune WHAT on f**king EARTH?? Ruins that flawless instrumental!

Tik Tik Boom 4/5 - From the snippet this didn't sound great, love her voice, but the song remains okayish.. it will probably grown on me.

Body Ache 4.5/5 - OMG INTRO INTROO, everything was good until that Scream & Shout rip off lol, but overall very good song. Flawless vocals again!

Til It's Gone 5+/5 - OMG what is AIR??? Why this was not lead single??? PERFECTION, LOVE IT SO MUCH

Passenger 5/5 - Amazing from vocals to lyrics. Love that guitar sound!

Chillin' With You 4.5/5 - oh wow surprisingly good one!! love her voice and this is mix of urban, country, dance, pop lol everything, nice one!

Don't Cry - 5+/5 OH WOW vocalney slaying completely!! old skool Britney

The album DOES sound a bit too much EDM on first listen but I'm sure it's a grower.

 

Nevertheless, Alien, Tik Tik Boom, 'Til It's Gone and Passenger really are something else and Chillin' With You was a pleasent surprise in a very 'BOMT'-Britney manner (I hope I made sense).

 

It Should Be Easy would've been a very enjoyable will.i.am featuring whoever track, but a Britney-less chorus and the overuse of Robobrit was a bit too much for what's supposed to be a Britney song.

 

 

01. Alien - 4.5/5 - Definitely the perfect choice to open the album.

02. Work Bitch - 5/5 - I just love it. I know it underperformed but I wouldn't change it for anything else as a lead single.

03. Perfume - 2/5 - The poorest song in album. I don't know why this is her favorite :(. Poorfume.

04. It Should Be Easy - 4.5/5 - I don't know what you guys are smoking. This is amazing and it is really catchy. The only issue I have is the synth melody. It should have been different to match the catchiness of verses and chorus.

05. Tik Tik Boom - 5/5 - :o Wow. Unexpected but it really works. That beat :o and T.I = Sex. It should be a future single if she wants a radio hit.

06. Body Ache - 5/5 - This should have been second single :(. Amazing. Perfection.

07. Til It's Gone - 4/5 - The definition of when 30 seconds of snippet promises more than it actually is. I had much higher expectations for this.

08. Passenger - 4/5 - I like it from the first time I heard it. It didn't grow any further nor didn't lost the spark. It should remain as a good album track. Not single material.

09. Chillin' With You - 3.5/5 - LOL. So cute and versatile. It's like a mash-up of 3 songs (verses + chorus + middle part). I like it. I can't believe it but Jamie voice is flawless :o.

10. Don't Cry - 4/5 - Very nice produced. I love her voice and the whistle.

After I've done my first listen and review, now I am definitely back on board. I will buy it. I'll just have to skip Poorfume.

I've listened to the album on iTunes and it is fantastic! :wub: Very excited to listen to the deluxe tracks too!
