If 2007 didn't tarnish it, I doubt an album underperforming will.

It was marketed as a for the fans album since the beginning. It was merely for the sake of rounding up the press for the sake of promoting Vegas and to give fans something to chew on. They obviously were not that worried about sales, if they were we would have gotten at least ONE promo performance.

But if anything it lost fans rather than gained them.

The BreatheHeavy lot banded together to make sure "3", "Hold It Against Me" and even "Criminal" got played on the radio, and the latter hitting #1. They couldn't even be bothered to request "Work Bitch" or "Perfume". and Breatheheavy is the biggest Britney fan forum I know.

Britney fans have pull, I'm not denying it. But all those songs were riding off well promoted and well received eras. 3 came off at the end of her huge comeback album. HIAM was promoted and hyped. Criminal flopped.

WB was a moderate hit for her and that was just off her name, video and the fact it's amazing. Top 15 in America, top ten in the UK. It served its purpose.

Stan shades ACTIVATED.

Oh and breatheheavy f***ing blows. Regulars in the lounge have kinder things to say then those trolls.

I'm just annoyed we dont even get a 3rd single, it seems all her eras lately crash and burn after the 2nd or 3rd singles.

Shame about BJ, because I think it pisses all over FF. It's too bad.

'Promo Album'? Is that the new excuse for BJ flopping now? Would it be a 'promo album' if it hadn't flopped? It's a PROPER album and it flopped. Get over it, I am.

I already said it flopped. No one is saying it didn't. All I'm saying is it flopped because of a lack of promo. And every album is a f***ing promo album.

Not really, you tour to promote your album, you don't release an album to promote your tour. ;)

It's still "promo". <3

So it would be a promo album, since we can keep this vague shit going on. And Vegas is basically a greatest hits show, it's titled after a single from an album that was released 6+ years ago. There are two songs included on the tours main tracklist, how is the show promoting the album?

How many promo performances were there for Vegas or the BJ tracks.

The album was used to promote Vegas. It flopped and no one gave a f***. But, Vegas has sold every show thus far. That's the only point I'm trying to make.

Since when is a residency a tour?

Since albums are released to promote something else.

Which further proves my point.

Britney Jean and the "work bitch" video helped being attention to her. Therefore bring attention to the residency.

Residency is selling out. Britney Jean is a flop. Is this point making sense? So even though the album flopped it still properly served a purpose.

I get ya. Even though I wish BJ was a SMASH!
