It did. I slept about 4 hours max last night

 

I am devastated.

 

I knew this would happen but I was SO SO hoping to be wrong.

 

I really wanted to see HRC celebrate and going to bed at 2am (1) and waking up at 4 (3) and seeing Trump in the lead on CNN and Silas's posts here was Brexit all over again after going to bed seeing she was up in that link in every state and the exit poll.

 

I think I know why she lost but like I saif don't wanna process it eight now to comment.

 

Please please don't make a concession HRC as that is not something we should see.

He denigrates and insults minorities of varying religions and ethnicities with impunity and stokes resentment and fear among a section of exclusively white, badly educated men (like yourself) without any basis beyond his personal dislike and belief they are less valuable as people. That is racism.

Seems like the 'shy Torie' effect we see here... People who don't want to admit voting for Trump come out in force on election day. Perhaps this is the president who best represents America, whether we want to admit that. There can be no illusion anymore.

 

That said, Clinton was an uninspiring choice and seen as part of an establishment hated by many. That definitely worked against her.

Erm, I am not badly educated. I got 8 O-Levels, 2 A levels later at night school, C&G computer programming and HNC business studies. So don't insult my intelligence.

Much like of Hillary had won, Trump represents his portion of the electorate perfectly. He does not represent what modern America, or the world, is like. It is inclusive, not divided along lines of skin colour or ethnicity, it is open to new ideas and new people, not walled off from the world. It's a country where if you work hard you get rewards, like the millions of immigrants who work hard for what they get each and every day and ask for nothing in return but to be treated as equally valid human beings. Trump cannot and will not he able to represent an ethnically diverse and socially liberal society anymore than Hillary could become the champion of the uneducated white male voters.

I believe only Bernie had a chance to win against Trump.

I don't think she lost because she's a woman, as some on another forum are suggesting but what a guy's just said on the BBC. A lot didn't trust her because of her emails, despite being cleared by the FBI. Mud sticks, no smoke without fire etc.
