Well, the first two singles from Regina's sixth studio album "What We Saw from the Cheap Seats" both reached Top 5 (No.4 and No.2, respectively).

The third single kept on a progression of her previous hits and became No.1 song this week. Congratulations, Regina! You're the best!

Hi Andrey, great to see No Doubt in a top 10 (they seem to have bombed in the real world`)!

Also the Rolling Stones belatedly made the singles chart this week, so thats nearly 50 years of new hits. I think that must be a record for a group!

Nice number 1. Regina had a #1 on my chart in 2006 with "Us" - but she has recently failed to get anywhere near that. The last time she was in the Top 10 was with "Fidelity" in 2007. :( Hopefully this single may changed that.

 

Great to see singles by Lana Del Rey, iamamiwhoami, Frank Ocean, Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines and Adele competing inside the Top 10.

 

Biggest :D is reserved for the #33 debut for "Inhaler". It's racing up my chart at the moment.

Have you heard Regina's latest album? I think it's fantastic and full of nice tracks. I believe that her previous singles ("All the Rowboats" and "Don’t Leave Me (Ne me quitte pas)") were great too.

Another favourites of mine from '"...the Cheap Seats"' are "Firewood" (great piano song which sounds like if it was made by Simon-Garfunkel). "Oh Marcello" (very beautiful artistic effort from Regina singin' with italian accent :D ) and album opener "Small Town Moon" (lovely ballad which have a strong resemblance to early Elton John's stuff). "Ballad Of A Politician" is the most emotional track on the album (though they all are)... "Open", "The Party", "Jessica"... not a bad song on this album...

 

I noticed Villagers new track on your playlist. Lovely song. Just heard it yesterday.

Have you already heard Everything Everything new single?

Strong single and even better than "Cough Cough", in my opinion...

I'm afraid No Doubt are on their pick in my Chart with this track, John. So many great songs knocking at the door... One of them is a track by the Rolling Stones, "One More Shot". It's a new studio recording from their forthcoming Greatest Hits collection, GRRR!

That explains why Doom And Gloom is sliding down so fast...

I charted "Don't Leave Me (Ne Me Quitte Pas)" earlier this year, it was a minor Top 40 hit I think. Will check the album out!

 

I have heard "Kemosabe" but it's not out until January 2013 so it won't be charting for a few weeks - love it though. :D
