Robbie Williams: Let’s Av a party

The Irish Sun

SINGER Robbie Williams is set to rock the Aviva this summer in front of 50,000 fans.

The Let Me Entertain You star will headline one night at the Dublin stadium on June 14 with support from Olly Murs.

Robbie, 39, admitted he can’t wait to get back to performing live here following his sold-out 02 gig on his 2012 tour.

He said: “Last year’s shows reminded me how special it is to play my songs in front of a huge audience, with all the excitement and adrenaline that it can bring. Bring on the tour.”

X Factor hunk Olly, 28, added: “Robbie has been such an inspiration to me throughout my career. I really still can’t believe that we will be touring together.”

I knew he would announce it eventually

The June 14th date had been floating around since last October. Will be interesting to see how well it sells. Big gigs have finally been effected by the recession this year. Madge and Gaga didn't sell well at all at the Aviva and Bon Jovi will be lucky to play to a half full field at Slane this summer. The prices for this are steep - €130 for good seats near the stage. The €69 is probably for the seats at the back - standing will probably be €90. A bit risky starting the tour here though after Croker in 06

On the official press release for the gig he is stated "Over 600k tickets have now sold for the UK alone and in record time. This is a testament to the British icons' incredible and enduring appeal."

600k sold in the UK alone is amazing. I think the total tickets on sale is around 650K and if you include the three O2 shows - then it will be over 700K in the UK alone for this tour when it's over. Must surely be the biggest tour ever for a solo act in Uk history, leaving MJ's Bad Tour aside? :o

Another date announced - this time in Croatia at Zagreb's Stadion Maksimir on August 13th.. Capacity 60,000. Wonder is Nada going to go?

Robbie Williams is coming to Croatia, 13 August will sing at Zagreb's Maksimir

As part of their European stadium tour 'Take The Crown' Robbie Williams will perform at the Maksimir Stadium 13th August . This will be his first concert in Croatia .

Robbie your tour begins on 19 June at the city stadium in Manchester (Manchester City Stadium).

- I'm very excited because this year is once again performing live . Past concerts have reminded me that special feeling to perform their own songs in front of huge audiences, with all the excitement and adrenaline that goes with it. Come on, Zagreb 2013th year! - Robbie said on the occasion of the tour.

Presale tickets for fan club members through the official website tickets.robbiewilliams.com starts 27th February at 10:00 pm and ends at midnight the same day. The sale will be VIP packages. Regular ticket sales for the concert spectacle begins 28th year February at 10 am at all retail outlets and event design, and online at www.eventim.hr .

I forgot to comment on Nicky's and Sparkle's posts from the Chit Chat thread so here's my news - I'm hoping to get the tickets for the fan pit, but as far as I understand it, there is no fan pit in other countries (or at least in some of them, like Austria)?

When I went to Progress Live the fan pit wasn't separated from the poor people - the ones that got the pitch standing.

So now I'm interested in what this tour will look like.

Zagreb is some three hours bus ride from my town and I intend to come one or two days earlier, sleep over at my friends' or relatives', who can accompany me to the stadium in case I'm too stupid to find it on my own :P Not sure when the show starts but I'll be there a couple of hours early (when do people usually start gathering?).

Okay, I don't even have the tickets yet. Bring me back to Earth please.

You'll get a fantastic view. Wherever you stand.... :P
@Tess, are you going to the Dublin gig aswell as Wembley now?

Nope  .. I am really supporting the economy here by spending all my money in London

They might appreciate my hard earned cash a bit more over in London

;)

Guess who's spent their 100 Euros this morning? :cheer:

It turns out we'll have two fan pits. One for the rich and famous obviously because there's no way you'll find Croatians with about 350 pounds to spare for a single ticket.

They'll get a welcome party, food and drink, early entrance, and a gift.

And what do we get? Probably 10th row and that's if we're extremely lucky!

I'm not a fan of this parade  Only our rich so-called celebrities can afford this and they're not real fans at all!
