March 8, 201312 yr Author This is just on another level. For a band to have given you something so amazing, pioneering; as The Knife have done in the past and evolve onto this level. Music that makes you think, dance, go to the unexpected. They truly are our generation's Kraftwerk.

(maybe on a hopeful level)
April 2, 201312 yr It's possible to listen to the entire album at Pitchfork now. http://pitchfork.com/advance/62-shaking-the-habitual/
April 2, 201312 yr Not only at pitchfork. The soundcloud stream is available at theknife.net along with the full comic. <3 Vocals on Cherry on Top are incredible.
April 2, 201312 yr First reaction was that I didn't like it, but that was probably expected, it'll get more chances.
April 2, 201312 yr I really want to hear what Dandy thinks about this. Only just realised it has leaked! It will have to wait until tomorrow but I shall let you know...
April 2, 201312 yr Well apart from having an epileptic fit while viewing that website I'm underwhelmed to say the least.
April 10, 201312 yr I've listened to this twice now and I'm not totally sure what I think. I don't find it to be an enjoyable listen so I can't imagine I'll play it particularly regularly, I do find it quite interesting though and it doesn't remind me of any other album I own which these days is quite a rare thing. There are so many parts that just feel deliberately obscure and the whole thing lacks any sense of organic progression or structure for me, it's all a bit too forced. Not really sure what else to say about it right now... although I'd certainly rather have this than a second rate version of Silent Shout, got to admire them for ambition and progression.
April 10, 201312 yr i just think there's so much BEAUTY in it d*! i only made it thru the first half before stopping (it is a hard listen) but what i've heard so far is SO good. then again i just think anything that's reminiscent of the IDM / breakcore / noise outburst of the mid 00's is fine by me!
April 27, 201312 yr ..has to be THE ugliest album cover of all time. And I've given up on the album - it's inpenetrable (sp?).
April 27, 201312 yr ..has to be THE ugliest album cover of all time. And I've given up on the album - it's inpenetrable (sp?). LOL clearly you know nothing about contemporary graphic design :S Easily the best album cover of the year so far... This album grows on me each time I listen. Truly stunning — A Cherry on Top is probably my favorite right now.
