100. P!nk - Blow Me (One Last Kiss)

0 points for originality as it sounds like all her other songs. Fortunately for P!nk, all her other songs are pretty damn good and so is this one!

99. No Doubt - Settle Down

I love the intro to this song. It's a perfect return to form for the band! At over 6 minutes it does not at any point feel boring or too long.

98. Fiona Apple - Every Single Night

This song is both haunting and childlike, but beautiful either way.

97. Marina and the Diamonds - How To Be A Heartbreaker

Marina delivers us a rule book we can all live by in this catchy, tongue in cheek song.

96. Girls' Generation - Flower Power

SNSD look fiercer than ever in this lead track from their second Japanese album. They are gonna slay in 2013!

95. BoA - Only One

BoA came back this year with a softer, slower track that captures the sweetness of her vocals.

94. Maroon 5 - One More Night

While I strongly disliked "Payphone" I was pleasantly surprised with how good this song is and how reminiscent it is of their first album.

93. NS YOON-G - I Got You

I totally fell in love with this anthemic stomper by the Korean songstress. It sounds like something Kelly Clarkson would sing.

92. Delta Goodrem - Wish You Were Here

While her more uptempo releases this year failed to strike a chord with me this soulful ballad proved otherwise. This song is one of loss and mourning and the middle 8 is just lovely!

91. Nelly Furtado - Spirit Indestructible

Her spirit may be indestructible, but her career certainly wasn't this year as her album proved to be one of the biggest flops of the year. Still the title track and second single of the album is actually quite epic even if she does sound a little nasally throughout.

90. Ayumi Hamasaki - snowy kiss

It was extremely confusing trying to keep track of all of Ayumi's releases this year. What wasn't confusing, however, how amazing most of the music was. snowy kiss is a 6 minute track that keeps you guessing the whole way through. Ayumi's voice is incredible as it builds up to each chorus.

89. Erik Hassle - Stay

This song is heartbreaking. I love the way it slowly builds up.

88. Miryo - Dirty

The rapper from Brown Eyed Girls ventured into a solo career this year and lead single "Dirty" is catchy as fuq! The last minute of the song is pure pop perfection. It slows down to an acoustic guitar and spoken bit before exploding! The video is also flaw free.

87. Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy

Xenomania proves that they haven't completely lost their touch with Amelia Lily's debut single. I do wish more of her unique voice shined through though.

86. Darin - Nobody Knows

I feel like this catchy dance song is like a culmination of Darin's career so far. He took everything that was great about his music and threw it all in this epic song!

85. Olly Murs - Trouble Maker

I have to say I was expecting a lot more from Murs after the amazingness of his last album. This song is good and really catchy but it's nowhere near as fresh as the epicness of "Heart Skips a Beat" or "Dance With Me Tonight."

84. Scissor Sisters - Let's Have A Kiki

This was totes the gay anthem of the year. It's just pure campy fun!

83. Paloma Faith - Just Be

I love the simplicity of this gorgeous song. Paloma's voice is just heavenly. Perfect love song, everything "Beautiful, cause you don't find me hideous" should have been.

82. Le Kid - Human Behaviour

I love the 80s realness vibe from this song!

81. Kylie Minogue - Flower

I love this beautifully vulnerable song by Kylie. It's such a gorgeous lullaby love song.

80. IU - Every End of the Day

This is such a gorgeous classically inspired song. IU's bright vocals brighten up the song and the strings give it a magical feeling throughout.

79. Shy'M - On Se Fout De Nous

This stunning midtempo is the second single from the French pop princess' Caméléon album. She sounds amazing as she sings about a stormy love.

78. Blush - Dance On

I discovered this flop pan-Asian girl group last year but really fell in love with them this year. This is simply a great dance track!

77. After School - Rambling Girls

This ever changing Korean girl group proved to translate well into the Japanese market with this catchy tune.

76. Melanie Amaro - Don't Fail Me Now

It's true the X-Factor USA winner Melanie Amaro's voice is probably better suited belting out big ballads, but this song is kind of incredible! Her vocals are amazing at the songs climax!

75. Chambao - Lo Mejor Pa Ti

This is a beautiful and haunting song by the Flamenco-electronic Spanish band. Lead vocalist, La Mari, sounds incredible on the track.

74. SingerSen - Cables

After two flawfree EPs the experimental Chinese singer released her first full length album late this year and English track "Cables" was it's lead single. It's a wonderfully subdued track that feels experimental and yet completely accessible. SingerSen is truly one of my favorite discoveries of all time.

73. Stooshe - f*** Me / Love Me

This raw sexual unapologetic debut single is very reminiscent of TLC and the Spice Girls. It's weird that they seem to be toning down all their personality and craziness as that's what sets them apart.

72. Priyanka Chopra - In My City

This is the debut single by the absolutely beautiful Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra. The song has such an international feel to it and I hope next year Priyanka's star shines brighter than ever.

71. Loreen - Euphoria

This dark and yet uplifting Eurovision winner is at the forefront of what good pop was in 2012.

70. Alexandra Burke - Elephant

Poor Alexandra!! Her album was such a hot mess that everyone forgot what a great song "Elephant" is. This song is epic and it fits her amazing voice perfectly, unlike the rest of her album!

69. TaeTiSeo - Twinkle

Girls' Generation did not release a Korean single in all of 2012, however subunit TaeTiSeo released a mini album and the funky "Twinkle." Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun really step it up on this song and show off their strong vocals. The key change is such an epic part of the song!

68. Erik Hutchinson - Watching You Watch Him

This is a really sad upbeat song about longing for someone from afar.

67. Kristinia Debarge - Cry Wolf

I was extremely shocked to listen to the amazingness of this song by the unfortunate Chris Brown looking Kristinia Debarge. It's such a classic pop rnb song which I feel is extremely lacking in pop music these days!

66. Mandy Capristo - The Way I Like It

I love this song from the former Monrose singer. The "push a little harder" pre-chorus is epic and Mandy's proven that she can work it as a solo artist. I love the tone of her voice on the bridge.

65. Loreen - Crying Out Your Name

This beautiful heartbreaking dance floor ballad is full of contradictions. It reminds me of Robyn and yet contains a sound that is uniquely Loreen's! This single proves that Loreen is much more than a Eurovision one hit wonder!

64. Medina - Happening

This sad dance track proved to be a stunner by the Danish singer. The beauty of this track lies in its vulnerability and the self delusion of its lyrics.

63. One Direction - Live While We're Young

This is an undeniably catchy song

62. Ayumi Hamasaki - Wake Me Up

In this rock/dance fusion Ayumi pleads to be woken up from the dream that her frantic life is. The lyrics are very personal and Ayumi delivers them ever so passionately.

61. Mumford and Sons - I Will Wait

This lead single from their second album continues on the iconic sound of their first album!

60. Ga-In - Bloom

Miryo wasn't the only Brown Eyed Girls' member to release solo material this year. Ga-In released this funky, disco track whose video was rated 19+ due to it being basically about masturbation!

59. Madonna - Granny Gone Wild

This actually good song had no business being on the hot mess that was MDNA. Instead it sounds like a Confessions reject and thats a good thing!

58. Bridgit Mendler - Ready or Not

This is pop at its purest. It's cute, upbeat and fun!

57. Ayumi Hamasaki - Song 4 U

There is something so epic and grand about this song that truly infuses classical inspirations with pop and rock music.

56. Jessica Mauboy - Gotcha

I love the throwback yet modern feel of this single taken from the Sapphires soundtrack!

55. Kylie Minogue - Timebomb

This infectious dance song was the perfect single for Kylie's 25th year celebrations!

54. Belinda - En El Amor Hay Que Perdonar

This is a stunning, ethereal song from the Mexican singer that speaks about forgiving in love.

53. Marina and the Diamonds - Power and Control

The Electra Heart concept was beautifully conveyed with this dark pop gem.

52. Ciara - Livin it Up

Ciara's kind of a NAF basic bitch in the music world, but astonishingly she released this gem that sounds both like a classic pop/r&b track and yet sounds completely different from anything else out there. Sadly it was not released as a single.

51. Lawson - Taking Over Me

Everything about this song is just perfect. It's got so many memorable parts and the chorus just takes over you!

50. Samantha Jade - What You've Done To Me

This may possibly be the best X-factor winner's single I've ever heard. No one is here for boring ballad covers. This is a catchy pop/rock song that would fit perfectly on Kelly Clarkson's greatest hits!

49. Aubrey O'Day - Wrecking Ball

The music world needs more of this!!! Pop/R&B jams are seriously lacking. Too bad Aubrey's such a hot mess!

48. Little Nikki - Intro Intro

Potentially amazing girl group SoundGirl were dropped without being given a proper shot. One of its members is trying her hand at a solo career and if this buzz track is anything to go by she has a bright 2013 to look forward to!

47. Dragonette - Let It Go

This is such a feel good song!

46. Brown Eyed Girls - Midsummer Night's Dream

This is such a sunny summer ballad and the girls each sound amazing on it. It's nice to hear a soft love song from them.

45. Blush - Miss Out

Yes this video is a hot ass mess! But the song is such a catchy pop/rock number.

44. Kelly Clarkson - Catch My Breath

Kelly Clarkson is amazing! That is all.

43. Scissor Sisters - Shady Love

Who would've thought that Jake Shears rapping would be so awesome?

42. Wonder Girls - Like Money

The Wonder Girls are fierce as hell on their English single "Like Money." Let's hope 2013 finally sees them release their debut English album!

41. Eva Simons - I Don't Like You

I love this electro-house stomper by Eva. Musically it's all over the place but that doesn't let the music overshadow her impressive vocals!

40. Florrie - Every Inch

Florrie was one of the only things keeping Xenomania interesting during Girls Aloud's break. I love this song's unusual structure and its repeating verses! I love how the instrumental sections lead you from one verse to another!

39. Solange - Losing You

Solange never fails to deliver fresh new sounds on her music. In this single she blends old school r&b with a more electronic sound. She sounds like nothing else out right now!

38. Parade - Light Me Up

This is probably the biggest shocker of the year. After too pretty bad singles and a flop album Parade were dropped. But then something happened, they didn't split up and they kept making music. This resulted in free single "Light Me Up" which lies somewhere between The Saturdays and Sugababes 2.0 musically. Here's hoping theres more from them in 2013. Bonus points for giving that NAF member that never sang some solo parts!

37. Carrie Underwood - Good Girl

A flawless return to form after the letdown that was her previous album! This song recreates the epicness of "Before He Cheats" but maintains its own sound. I love a big chorus!

36. Alizée - À cause de l'automne

The original French pop princess Alizee has come a long way since her Moi... Loita days! She's come back with this dark sixties inspired track! I can't wait till her album comes out!

35. Little Mix - Wings

This upbeat retro single was a perfect debut for the X Factor winners! Their harmonies are pure gold!

34. Loreen - My Heart Is Refusing Me

This build up of this song, released originally in 2011 but internationally this last year, is flawless. It truly comes together in a gorgeous comeback at the end. in 2012 Loreen was the queen of the dance ballad.

33. Mandy Capristo - Closer

Another stunning song from the ex Monrose singer. I love this song because it reminds me of Texas' Summer Sun.

32. After School - Dilly Dally

Sadly there is no video for this epic track which was part of a double A side release in Japan, but really it was treated as a B side. Such a waste. I love the pulsing disco beats on this one! This is also the last single with HBIC lead singer Kahi. :(

31. Ellie Goulding - Anything Can Happen

I have to admit that this was a huge grower, but once it clicked it was amazing. It also helped when FLAWFREE girl group Fifth Harmony covered it on the X Factor USA.

Great so far Shakilover, yay for multiple Loreen  Expecting a big finish for Something New!
