Chris is far from the worst but not a dissatisfactory last placer either. 27th for the actual worst of the year isn't bad, should be lower obviously but you never know with BuzzJack.

Expecting a Gotye/Carly win (which wouldn't be bad, especially the former) but would love SHM/Florence/Rudimental to dark horse it, they seemed to be doing well on a casual flick through the earlier votes :P 'Paradise' to be at least top 15 please, not sure what to expect for 'Sweet Nothing'.

Hall of Fame is pretentious, clichéd dross, very glad it finished so low. Carly/Gotye will win this I'd imagine with Swedish House Mafia & Florence perhaps doing a little bit better than expected, hopefully Heatwave hasn't finished too high.

Heatwave has been revealed already.

Spectrum is Calvin Harris by numbers and even worse than Call My Name - musics wise.

But you've ignored the fact that Spectrum is incredible to dance to and it's not a normal generic song that is made for the clubs at the same time.

It's still a formula he's used several times (and better) . Tedious. And she's awful. She has about 3 tolerable songs.

Spectrum sounds completely different from the rest of Florence's music though. And I don't agree when you say that it's a formula that he's used loads, Spectrum doesn't sound like We Found Love or Call My Name in my opinion.

26th Rita Ora - "How We Do (Party)" // 960PTS

I did like this at the start of June before it got popular. But now I'm very pleased to reveal it finishing this low, can't stand to hear it anymore and you've done the right thing placing Rita's two other #1s further up.

25th Tulisa - "Young" // 1220PTS

One that some of you thought would be in Rita's place, there's nothing wrong with this one really (other than unfortunate timing), it's just a fun, up-beat track. Leagues ahead of her other singles too.

I'm Not Alone??

They do sound quite similar now that you say that, but I think that they work as two completely different songs with different intentions in my opinion.

I dont like it because his part is recycled and her part has her voice in it.
You could have just removed any pretence and said you didn't like Florence's voice then?

That would fail to include the fact that he already used a similar riff four years ago - and it was better then too. It's tedius for me to listen to something so formulaic - a feeling I get from most Calvin Harris or David David Guetta music. There's better, more original songs going to finished below it in this count down.

24th Cover Drive - "Twilight" // 1230PTS

Capital faves Cover Drive got a surprise #1 earlier in the year with this song named after the best series of movies of all time (jk). It's a great catchy song but for me "Sparks" is slightly better.

23rd will.i.am (feat. Eva Simons) - "This Is Love" // 1290PTS

Another pretty decent song, it was nice to see Dutch singer Eva Simons not being a total flop for once. Will is so charitable, helping to give certain artists career boosts. I expect "Scream & Shout" may finish a bit higher next year if we assume it gets to #1 over the next couple of weeks.

What's that about Tulisa's bottom? :P

The main issue with Young is Tulisa herself - it takes a real SKILL to be able to THAT ambivalent to being a pop star, even Cheryl Cole managed to CRACK A SMILE when she performing (miming/dancing badly) - Tulisa doesn't even TRY. I do take solace in the fact that it did so well yet it has ZERO connection to her fabled ''urban roots'' and anything that did FLOPPED *.*
Of course I do hope Cheryl and her LIMP turd of a song are up soon, but I expect she'll be flying much too high here as in the real charts - top 10 perhaps?
