Posted August 17, 200618 yr Source: NME.com Keane have pulled series of forthcoming gigs due to singer Tom Chaplin's "exhaustion" - by they will go ahead with their V Festival slot this weekend (August 19/20). However following the performances at Chelmsford and Stafford, the band will-be taking a two-week break forcing the cancellation of three shows. The affected gigs are: Ibiza Rocks (August 23) Edinburgh Princes Street Gardens (30) Dublin (venue TBA) (31) Chaplin said today (August 17): "I am gutted that I have to take a break from touring. I was really looking forward to these dates, but if it means we can do what we've got planned for the rest of the year then I'll take the time off. "I want to apologise to our fans, and I hope that everyone understands. Be assured that we will be back out there soon." The band will also go ahead with their show at Pukkelpop in Belgium tomorrow (August 18). I might see them at the Wolves Civic in October myself unless they cancel that too :P
