Beyoncé will be singing the American National Anthem at Barack Obama's second presidential inauguration on 21 January, following her performance of "At Last" at his first in 2009 :D

She's been accused of miming the performance! :lol: Absolutely ridiculous - you could tell it was live from when she took her earplugs out for the big notes.

Mimed or not it was a nice performance. I was expecting her to bring it a bit more though, it seemed very safe compared to say, the performances I've seen of that song at the Superbowl etc.

Where? Because she posted a photo to Instagram of herself in a recording studio, that automatically assumed she was miming?! She does have an album coming out, you know...

It wasn't mimed, she sang live, but to a pre-recorded audio. This video shows it:

 

I think the fact the levels were so off to begin with and the fact her in-ear wasn't working right suggest it wasn't mimed. Either way it was a decent rendition of it, she avoided going to OTT (hi Christina), but did push it a little too far at the end (imo).
