August 18, 200618 yr I wouldn't be surprised if this is true, the last album and the singles from it all sold terribly.
August 18, 200618 yr No, read this on there website, it explains evrthing: The Darkness--Message From The Band
August 18, 200618 yr from http://www.thedarknessrock.com/news/ 16/08/2006 A message from the band After Justin saw a doctor last week and was recommended to “cancel all professional commitments or work-related activitiesâ€, we had little choice but to cancel the band’s appearance at the Skanderborg Festival in Denmark, something that the band hate to do, but having been out on the road constantly for such a long time and having not had any time off over the past three years, that’s what Justin has decided to do and we are all agreed that his health must come first. As everybody found out today, Justin has been admitted to a rehabilitation clinic. We would however like to make it clear that this emphatically does not signal the end for The Darkness, nor are their label Atlantic Records considering ‘dropping’ them. On the contrary they have taken up their option with the band and are looking forward to releasing The Darkness' third album in early 2007. We are not here to comment on Justin’s private life – or anyone else’s for that matter – but he is feeling better already and as soon as he is ready we will be going straight into the studio to begin recording album number 3. We hope you would join us in wishing Justin well – and it is for you to judge if a platinum album, headlining and co-headlining sold out shows across the UK, Continental Europe and Australia, etc. to an audience of tens of thousands of adoring fans can ever be considered a failure! Dan, Ed and Richie
August 18, 200618 yr The same label dropped Goldie Lookin Chain when the joke wore off. I wouldn't expect to hear anything else by the Darkness.
August 18, 200618 yr WTF is a thread about this puddle of rat p*** doing in my forum? i might deleted it or move it. -_-
August 18, 200618 yr WTF is a thread about this puddle of rat p*** doing in my forum? i might deleted it or move it. -_- Move it over to the Pop Forum mate... I sincerely hope we never hear anything from this godawful excuse for a 'rock' band ever again....
August 18, 200618 yr cant help yourself can you??? your so old fashioned, live a little for once i hate the way you post in evry thread declaring your dislike for this that and the other, get a life!!!! "Ohh, the darknes are pop LOL......" "oh there a silly little pop band LOL" funny aint it?????

August 18, 200618 yr cant help yourself can you??? your so old fashioned, live a little for once i hate the way you post in evry thread declaring your dislike for this that and the other, get a life!!!! "Ohh, the darknes are pop LOL......" "oh there a silly little pop band LOL" funny aint it????? He's giving an OPINION which he (and all other members) are entitled to. In some ways The Darkness are pop, they are a mainstream band and have been POPular in the charts (well the first album anyway). Putting them into Pop forum isn't as a joke, i and many other people consider them an awful excuse for a rock band and the novelty of them (in spandex and $h!t) has worn off. If you don't like the way some members post you know where the door is :)

"Ohh, the darknes are pop LOL......" "oh there a silly little pop band LOL" funny aint it????? Well, excuse me for actually having an opinion... If we all just posted how much we loved everything and everything was groovy and peachy it wouldn't leave much room open for debate now would it..? Pillock... I do actually have a life, and there are literally LOADS of bands out there that I love (I probably have a vastly more varied and eclectic record collection than you do mate...) but my life has no room for mediocre sh!t like the Crapness.... You accuse me of being 'old fashioned' yet you champion a band that are nothing but a bunch or tacky 80s Hair Metal throwbacks, they offer absolutely NOTHING new or interesting whatsoever and they ply their trade in the most boring irony-free way. Maybe if they actually DID realise their own preposterousness, I might actually let them past, but they actually want us to take them seriously, Justin Hawkins going so far as to b**ch and moan about not being nominated for any Brits a couple of years back... Sorry, I have more respect for Lordi to be honest, now they really do just do their thing for a laugh, I mean going on Eurovision and actually WINNING???? Priceless.
