I'm enjoying this more than the edition I hosted so far. It's not supposed to work like that!

 

Tbh I always enjoy BJSC a lot less when I'm hosting it...

Quite a good section of songs on first listen through, still quite a lot of samey stuff in between but its a lot better than last time. I'd like to think my entry doesn't blend in, whether people will like it is a different matter :P

That's actually what I thought when I first heard the song.

I think I would have gone for 'Hidden Laws' from Veto's newest EP instead. I do like 'Turning Machine', though.

Voted last night, I could have voted for more tracks. Most of the tracks at the end seem to roll into one track. I did get an ear ache when I hit the first track on top of the list, had to stop it after 25 secs.

I think MØ 'Pilgrim' is this edition's "so Unknown Pleasures it hurts" track. I like the video a lot.

I jumped on the bandwagon this time and I kind of hate myself for it now. But I wanted to get out of that bottom 5-10 I've hit in the last 3 UP's or so.

 

80% of the entries just sounds to me as something very much alike and mine is probably one of them... That probably means it'll do better... :-P

What are you saying "good about"? The fact that I mourn the guitars of older UP or the fact that UP has changed?

I might be wrong but I'm guessing MS prefers this new direction that UP is going in. I had more success in the last UP than half of 2012 in BJSC so I'd of course be inclined to agree. :P

Guitar based music hasn't excited me for about 15 months now so I'm happy with general direction that the contest has taken.

It's just dull now. I don't think I'll take part any more. I'm informed (as I dont participate in it, I wouldn't know) that it has become more like BJSC.

Agree with this, though I don't like the idea of UP being samey or like BJSC. Just on a personal level, guitar music is boring me lately.

So obsessed with my top 4. Cannnnot separate them at all and it's killing me.

 

I've realised the way to my heart is with 6+ minute songs. Head For The Country's 3:17 seems like NOTHING :(
