Robbie's album "best ever"

Despite stories of legal rows over one of the tracks where he slags off his ex-manager Robbie's album won't be pushed back. It's out in a couple of weeks and while Rudebox got a some flack he reckons his new album is the best thing he's ever done.

Music Week Hearts Rudebox

robbiewilliams.com

We knew it was good. And now music industry bible Music Week agrees as it names Robbie's forthcoming album as its album of the week.

The magazine describes the new album as "bonkers, witty...and hugely likeable". It also credits Robbie for being brave to "step out of his comfort zone" to do something "truly new". And of course we all whole-heartedly agree!

Applause please!

Robbie Williams to judge 80s film contest

Singer Robbie Williams has asked a group of movie directors to create a short film for his song 'The 80s', which features on his new album 'Rudebox'.

The singer will judge the films with television presenter and film critic Jonathan Ross and filmmaker David Puttnam.

Williams has asked seven young independent filmmakers to submit films that will complement the material on his new album.

The singer said: "This is the record I've always wanted to make. It's reignited how I think about what I can do with music myself."

"'Rudebox' was done in a guerrilla way, no plan of action, it just evolved into what it is naturally. That's what I like about film today and why I wanted to do this project and competition."

"I'm very excited to see what the film-makers can come up with," he said.

The winner of the contest will receive £7,500. There is also a possibility that the winning movie will be broadcast.

I can't wait either :D though at the same time part of me feels like waiting for the proper CD. I've been listening to the tracks we have so often, the actual release may be a non-event ^_^

I know that I will not be able to wait though...

I found this on the Woolworths on-line Website.

The reverse cover of Rudebox apparently.

am I the only one who´s waiting until the 23rd of october to listen to the CD?

No. I'm also trying my best for that but I have no willpower. However, I'm trying to limit myself to just short snippets of the songs.

So is this why you haven't commented on Bongo Bong now when we finally got to hear it?

I thought you would have set up a special thread for it

Let's just say the small snippet I heard made me chortle. :P

Fair enough, but I don't really find it that funny

It certainly won't go down as one of RW's greatest moments

:o It's a classic.

Anyway, Scotty will be proud of you!

They have Viva Life on mars  , Keep On :o :yahoo: , Bongo  , and She's Madonna  up on the official. I have listened to each 5 times and I love every single one. They all take a few listens..especially Keep On...but once you get used to them they are brilliant. I think you should all listen 3 times before you comment.
