For albums that were realeased at the same time as Rudebox , has anyone any idea of the sales figures..... just to do a comparison......

Oh I certainly hope he's made much more than EMI. :dance: But I wouldn't bet on it. <_<

 

Wonder where he'll be in the 2007 Sunday Times Rich List? It's due out around March/April isn't it? :unsure:

 

Next month I think. ^_^ I'd imagine he is one at least £110 million now. ^_^

I would say at 150k more like... Wow.... no woner he gets a hard time from the Press in the UK...

Can you imagine what they will say now when they see him looking at cars to buy.... Oh he cant drive.... .

If I had that much money I wouldnt bother driving either... I would have a chauffeur... but then again I have a vivid imagination.....

you know you can go to these newspaper comment sites and you can plug Rudebox and give the genuine story in the hope that loads of people read it and the paper does too.

Well as I said, no other album as a solo artist sold as much as Rudebox did outside the USA in 2006 despite it only being released in the final 2 months of the year. :dance:

Btw, Wikipedia has been done up very well, everything has been inproved hugely in the Robbie section. Really great, they have wrote a nice history album by album with alot of usefull info. I have always felt the Robbie section of wikipedia was poor compared to other artist but it has definatly improved. I never knew Feel spent an amazing 54 weeks inside the Canadian chart :o :o :o It sold 4m in total which I knew already. His most successful single worldwide to date,

Jackie, how do you know Rudebox is approaching 4 million? :cheer: That would be great. Is there an up to date sales site that shows that figure? :yahoo:

 

By the way, I went to Bournemouth on holiday last year. Wish I'd known you lived there. I could have popped in for a vodka. Sorry, lemonade. :P

I watch the charts and Rudebox has been selling, not in the same way as his other albums, but the sales are there, slow but people are still buying it.

 

It has not sold 4 million yet, but it will.

Rudebox has sold (real sales) 2.1m copies to date (at most) and shipped mostly 3.3m copies globally.. so its far away from the 4m shipment figure.. I believe it will end up with like 2.5m in real sales and about 3.6 in shipments in europe.. (it may get a 3x platinum certification by the ifpi this year if we have some luck).. It may still only be his lowest certified album.. allthough it sold the same as live at knebworth..

 

THIS weeks European and global chart positions that i found and estimated global sales:

 

Germany: #37(#29)

France: #181(#157)

Switzerland: #71(#59)

Austria: #50(#41)

Netherlands: #45(#36)

Italy: #49(#29)

 

dropped out in sweden and is still out in UK, Australia, Spain, Ireland, Newzealand etc.

 

Sales in these 6 countries which dominate 70% of europes music industry market: ~7.000 copies (Total worldwide sales this week ~ 15.000)

Yes, I always knew the actual over-the counter sales were not the same. They never are. There is no way of calculating a correct amount of actual sales cause very few countries actually give that info like they do in the UK and US. It's all only shipments. So all official world sales figs we all read are never actual sales, just shipments. 3.3m globally would be the most as Stevvy said. It is still selling so there could be more shipments to certain countries therfor, I reacken it will have done between 3.5-4m by the end of the year.

I am going to scream.... Do you know that they are still advertising JT's album ' Future Sex Love Sounds ' on TV.... Popworld is on Chanel 4 at the moment & I have just seen another ad for JT's album..............................WHY Do I NEVER..... NEVER.... see Rudebox advertised anywhere on TV.......
