Scotty... But you know honestly I dont think Rob gives a S**T either... I would say as far as he is concerned its OVER.... DONE WITH... otherwise you would think his management would be doing something about it... I think that for a totally different direction that they are happy enough with the way it has gone otherwise you would think that they would put more effort in.

I just think as an artist Rob has got so big that & made so much money that it does not seem to matter any more. ,,,,, do you know what I mean. If it sells fine.. if not ... move on.. try something else.

Germany and the rest of Europe certainly had alot of PR for Rudebox. I am afraid the UK didn't and I could never understand why they didn't release the album when he toured the UK. I mean that is one of the basic rules of PR isn't it?

 

 

I think Tim Clark & David Enthoven are too busy getting their 'Cottage Industries' together as they say themselves & diversfying so they forget about the all important little details. I hope it does not backfire on them one day.

My main worry is that Robbie Williams has really become a BRAND name & the man himself will get swallowed up in it..... No promotion, etc gives off a very bad vibe to the fans... is this what is happening in the UK or is deemed to be happening.No other artist out there at the moment is as high profile as Rob or has as much advertising revenue potential as Rob or have as many companies queing up to back them as Rob.

Last year Rob was being used to advertise so many gadgets... T.Mobile.. Sony...XBox, etc.. are people thinking that the music is suffering along the way..... IE Music Management need to be careful as there are lots of people queing up to takes Rob place.( or at least trying to ).....

You may think my thoughts are daft but Im getting a bit uneasy about the whole thing..

This is ridiculous, they only gave him the crown because of his popularity and success worldwide inluding USA/Europe/Australia etc.. But the fact is, that RW sells the same amount or even more copies of his releases than Justin without having multimillionsellers in the US! PLUS Robs Tours have been the biggest events in europe/australia Justin can't compete with that. There is a huge difference between Rob and Justin, Justin is an ARENAS act and Rob is a STADIUM act, there is a big difference. Justin may, unlike Rob sell millions in the US, but look at his ARENA Tour over there, there are alot of dates still to sell out apperently, while every single stadium date Rob put on sold out in record time, 1.6 MILLION tickets sold in a single day, a record previously help ironically by JT's former band N Sync!

 

Only a moron would seriously use Rudebox to compare him with Justin. Firstly, it was an experimental album that alienated huge chunks of his fans, secondly, it was released only 12 months after IC (while Justin waited 4 years between albums so it obviously would've been more anticipated), and thirdly, Rudebox got zero promotion, while JT's album is advertised non-stop and has been since last September when it came out, also in the UK the radio's and TV channels are constatly playing his stuff yet his album has underperformed hugely considering. IC is the album that needs comparing.

 

FSLS - In it's near 4 months of released in 2006, it shifted between 4.5-5m units worldwide, that includes near 3m in the US alone. Then compare it to IC from 2005, IC was only out a little over 2 months (nearly half the time), and shifted 5.5 million copies and was'nt even released in the US. Need I go any further :rolleyes: :lol:

 

Also how many countries did JT'S album go to #1 in? Surely not 20 like IC? Nah, did'nt think so. :P

 

Justin's biggest selling album is Justified with over 7m copies sold, compared to Rob's GH with betwen 7.5-8m sold and IC with between 7-7.5 and without a US release. -_-

 

Also I don't think FS/LS has sold 6.1m, I don't trust mediatraffic's estimates at all, if you look at official estimates you get between 5.7-5.9m and it was also reported in a press release for his tour the other day it had sold close to 6m.
