A long add just came on Living TV during Will & Grace now :o

It was a completelly different add to the usual adds we see every couple of months for the album -_-

Much longer and showed Robbie during the photo shoot for the album sleeve ^_^

It was an add for Tesco -_-

Rudebox is in their top ten albums of 2006! - at number 6 :cheer:

Robbie Williams

'Rudebox'

October

An incredible and innovative pop album from a man formerly - and no doubt futurely - allowed only to record slow songs and ones which sound like bad Queen pastiches.

ROBBIE TURNING IT ALL AROUND TO BE GOOD AGAIN AND SELLING TWELVE CDs IN THE PROCESS

It was not Robbie Williams' fault that he chose to release the most creative album of his career at the same time as Take That released something full of ballads with Jason Orange singing about a boat.

Rudebox' is the best album of Robbie's career, and while we don't have any figures in front of us (AT TIME OF GOING TO PRESS ETC) we imagine that even 'Intensive Care', which was $h!t on a stick, sold better.

Thanks to Abbie at purerobbie and of course thanks popjustice  :yahoo:

When I was out last night I got talking to a girl who was telling me how she'd spent hours on her PC trying to get Robbie concert tix (like the rest of us). And she's seen him in concert about 6 times.

Anyway, I asked what she thought of the Rudebox album. She said to me' Oh I haven't bought that as I don't like it'.

I said 'Really? There are some great tracks on it. Don't you like any of them?'.

To which she said ' Well to be honest I haven't heard the album but I didn't like the single and the album's supposed to be rubbish isn't it? It said so in the papers'.

Words fail me.....

What a very silly person who lets herself be manipulated by the pathetic British press  She really has no idea what she is missing

Yeah - she seems to be really clued into her music especially if she is depending on what some of the rubbish reviews that were given in the papers - could she not listen to the album & judge for herself. I think that this has happened a lot with Rudebox & people have not even listened to it. Rudebox the single is a great track I personally think but it is definately not everyones cup of tea - I think Robbie realises that now having now said that he made a mistake in releasing that first. Ah well - that's the way it goes - win some - lose some. I notice in the stores today that its still not selling very well compared to other albums. Its looks like people are well put off it.

yeah, well the chart is mainly made up of either bland samey c**p or US R&B - Rudebox is neither of those so does'nt appeal to the masses :( They are the ones missing out for having such a narrow-minded view <_<

Rudebox has dropped 1 place to #29 in the UK. Youd think it would've climbed with thr Xmas rush

Yes - It looks like if its not a bloody ballad nobody wants to know - Im sure Westlife will find plenty material to cover - talk about originalty- its always the easy road for them - that is why I like RW so much - always willing to take a chance. Dying to see what he comes up with next Year .
Yes. UK sales figures (excluding most Internet sales).
Do you know what did it sell last week - I would have expected that it would have done ok this week - being Xmas week
Scotty didn't have the figure. Approx 30,000 he thought.

What 30k - at this rate it will reach 6 million in about six years time. Do you know how many it has sold worldwide so far or do we actually know because some sales are not known to us , eg: CDWow, etc

Worldwide Figure from MediaTraffic is in Dannyboy's sales Thread (page 1). But again MediaTraffic isn't 100% accurate. -_-

(*** oh and it'll take much longer than 6 years I reckon :P ***)

It was over 38k last week, so 15k more this week ^_^ Worldwide sales are approching 1.5 million.

Can anyone believe TT sold over 430k this week though. Simply shocking
