Today i bought this months edition of "Q Mag" and was shocked when i started reading cause they had a review of Rudebox (the album) but it was not good :(

They gave it 2 stars. Yes i know Q don't like him cause he's "pop" but they have always given his albums 3 stars or 4 in some cases but 2 :(

They said that he was "bored and directionless" <_<

The title is "Fallen Angel"and it says "He can do whatever he wants. But why, oh why, this?

However it says although "It is all over the shop, it has flashes of excellence such as Lovelight, She's Madonna and Bongo Bong ( :o :puke2: :arrr: )

It says the 90's was hauled off the album -_-

An Italian magazine, XL, has the review of Rudebox and it gives it 4 stars and the main page of the review section... ;)

I would take a Q Magazine reviews with a large lump of salt.

Recently they gave the turgid Red Hot Chili Peppers 2CD Stadium Arcadium 5 stars & the very patchy Gnarls Barkley St Elsewhere album 4 stars, so I would not worry too much.

..... Mind you I'm still not getting into the future Lovelight single (& I loved Rudebox).

Yeah, your probebly right ^_^

Although I do think if The RHCP had;ve got the best 12 songs it would be a good album ^_^

Hopefully Lovelight will grown on you but it seems that those who loved rudebox don't like it whereas most people who though Rudebox was ok love it

And don't forget the few vague reviews we have got elsewhere have been very good....even from VN. We can't expect Robbie to get great reviews from everywhere unfortunately.

Just for the record I love both Rudebox and Lovelight

Only 3 weeks to go now :yahoo:

The 90s has been pulled? :o

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well who knows  Maybe Q were'nt allowed to review it. I pray it's not gone though

I'm a bit concerned. All the first lot of sneak previews of this album (even from NME :o ) said it was brilliant. But with all the recent Robbie bashing........

The Mirror will definitely hate it. :arrr: Vicky will forget she loved it and say it is rubbish (just like she did with I.C.)

And the 90s better not have been pulled.

Lifelight is there any way you could post up the review please. We need all the good news we can get

the 90´s is not gonna be in the album

-_- there that´s for sure <_<

A very frustrating scenario  but not unlikely I'm afraid as it is so in these days to slag off Robbie

I understand why many people would not like Rudebox, but how can anyone NOT love Lovelight ?

I was hoping that it would make people forget about Rudebox and make the album a success, but I'm not so sure anymore

Maybe it will only be in the UK that thew 90's will be taken off

Anyway, Mojo and NME and both Rock mags and both gave the album good reviews so it can't be too bad ^_^

Found the Mojo review on purerobbie, something to cheer us up

Mojo magazine - Page 101 - Titled _ Robbie gets his groove back.

Rudebox is another flick of the Vs to all those who doubt the substance behind Robbie Williams' incorrigible irrepressibility. Initially concieved as a quick and dirty reposte to last year's occasionally overwrought Intensive Care, Rudebox, with its mixture of autobiography, Stoke-on-Trent vernacular and well-chosen covers ( among them Louise by Human League, Manu Chao's King of The Beat - with Lily Allen - and Stephen Duffy's Kiss Me ) ia an intriguing, funny and inventive listen. The highlight is the Pet Shop Boys collaboration,She's Madonna. Camper than Spanish footwear, it acts as a golden showcase for the glory of millennial pop. In another time, we'd have feted Williams as an ian Dury figure. With this sloppy, happy, ingenious record, maybe its time we did.

According to Tess who typed up the Mojo bit there is also a really good review in the "International DJ magazine" never heard of that one before, let's hope it's important
