Posted August 19, 200618 yr Virgin.Net Music news Lily sings for Robbie Lily Allen has revealed she sang on three tracks for Robbie Williams' new album before she hit the big time. The singer, who topped the singles chart with 'Smile' earlier this year, laid down vocals for the new LP by the former Take That star after a chance encounter in the studio. Allen was working on a cover of the Kaiser Chiefs' 'Oh My God' for Mark Ronson's album and he put her in touch with Williams. And although Allen admits she can't remember much about the songs, she reckons Williams was pleased with the results. She told Australia's Herald Sun newspaper: "I was recording with Mark Ronson, and he was working on Robbie's album. It was before anything happened with me. "He needed a female vocalist. I said fine and did it and I think Robbie's quite pleased now. "I think they sound pretty good, though I can't actually remember what they're called or how they go." Allen also said she was jealous of Williams' entourage, even though he was generally quite down-to-earth. She added: "The only thing I saw that was slightly affected by fame was the fact he had someone to put his artificial sweetener in his coffee and stir it. I thought, 'I'd quite like an artificial sweetener person.'" Any Comments?
August 19, 200618 yr I am looking forward to this new Robbie record actually even though i find Rudebox very strange. :blink: Lily Allen has a big gob and she seems to think she is the female Liam Gallagher. She definatly does'nt have the voice or the tunes to back that up imo but i look forward to hearing the tracks non the less :)
August 19, 200618 yr I think she should say she was pleased to be working with Robbie personally. One hit record and thinks thats all it takes. I don't mind the big mouth or the big head, as long as she can back it up and only time will tell on that. Some people. :wacko:
August 20, 200618 yr I was reading the Showbiz page in the News of the Screws this morning. They were reporting on some performance Lily Allen had given and the article started 'Superstar Singer Lily Allen.......' What??????????? :blink:
August 20, 200618 yr Typical of TNOTW. :rolleyes: She is far from a superstar :rolleyes: I mean she is just a stupid slag who constantly insults other singers just to get in the paper. If she had good songs and a great voice then maybe i would take her a bit more seriously but her big mouth is all she has going for her. A one hit wonder if i ever saw one :smoke: I look forward to the track anyway -_-
