It's up for pre-order now for a 17th March release and contains 20 tracks, including his top 40 singles Forever Yours, Lady Godiva and Stupid Stupid. I already have nearly half the album as singles but he's made it so cheap (£3.99 on iTunes) that it's going to be considerably cheaper to download the whole thing rather than just the new tracks. In fact, it's even too cheap to chart in the UK!

I will be checking this out definitely. I liked his previous album, The World Is Mine.

OK, so I've got my copy, and I have to say it's a good album, maybe his best! He's really progressed as an artist since his debut in 2009! Here's how I'd rank the songs (I'm not including Poison as it's not his song, just produced by him, though I do quite like it):

GREAT:

1. Good Morning Sunshine

2. Forever Yours

3. Here Comes Trouble

4. I've Got What It Takes

5. Wannabe A Star

6. Lady Godiva

7. This Kiss (feat. Carrie Hope Fletcher)

GOOD:

8. Oh No, I'm In Love :(

9. The Time of Your Life

10. Jack and Coke

11. She Walks Right Through Me

12. Losing A Future

13. Stupid Stupid

14. Holding On

MEH:

15. Don't Let The World Turn Past Me

16. Across the Sea (feat. Tom Milsom)

17. Bread

SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ON THE ALBUM:

18. Across the Sea (feat. Bryarly Bishop) - it's not even studio produced, it's just the audio ripped from a video when he did an acoustic cover. Because of this it sounds very out of place among the rest of the songs.

I thought Alex came on Buzzjack a few months ago and said the idea of releasing albums these days was pretty pointless and he'd be concentrating on singles?
I downloaded it earlier, it's strong but does feel cheaply produced in places, and the random low quality song in the middle that Eclectic pointed out is an odd choice, even though it's a nice song. Could have done with a studio version. How come Carrie has a solo song on here though, with Poison?

Must say I disagree in a number of places, I feel you've really underrated losing a future and Jack and Coke, and would probably swap the top 2 around.

Also, the song with Tom Milsom should be far higher. one of my favorite of Alex's :)

Because Alex produced it, and wanted to show off that he can also produce.

I somehow missed this post. He did concentrate on singles. He release 8 of them.

Epigrams and Interludes is more of a compilation, considering it includes:

8 pre-album singles:

Across the Sea

Forever Yours

Jack and Coke

Lady Godiva

Good Morning Sunshine

She Walks Right Through Me

This Kiss

Stupid Stupid

2 songs from his previous albums:

Holding On (Parrot Stories)

The Time of You Life (The World Is Mine)

A song by another artist:

Poison

A song previously released on a compilation:

Losing a Future (DFTBA Records: Volume Three)

Well, 8 new tracks is still a lot but it's not even 50% of the album.
