ELTON John's son Zachary shows he's the coolest kid at the Oscars as he gives rock God Bono a spirited high five.

The two-year-old was guest of honour at his dad's starstudded AIDS Foundation viewing party.

And he looked cool as a cucumber surrounded by the biggest names in showbiz - working the room in a smart mini tuxedo and trendy white trainers.

He certainly wasn't starstruck by the U2 frontman - pouting as Bono offered him his hand, before thrusting out his own tiny paw.

Zach is getting used to his new role as big brother to Elton and partner David Furnish's new son Elijah, who was born to a surrogate last month.

Announcing the birth in Hello magazine, the 65-year-old rocker, said: “I’ve learned that a parent’s capacity for love is endless.

“When another child is born, our depth of love just grows deeper and wider, so it was very emotional.”

Elton and David certainly played the role of proud parents last night, hanging on Zachary's every word as they introduced him to guests at the A-list bash.

WHILE she was not among the Irish nominees at this year's Academy Awards, the daughter of U2's Bono looked every inch the nominee as she turned up to Oscar parties with her famous father.

Actress Eve Hewson took centre stage as she arrived on the arm of the international rock star to both the 'Vanity Fair' post-awards celebration and Elton John's 21st annual Viewing Party in Hollywood on Sunday night.

Accompanying Bono while her mother, Ali Hewson, recovers from a quad biking accident last week in Costa Rica, the 21-year-old was at ease as she mingled with some of the biggest names in the industry.

After walking the red carpet at the Pacific Design Centre, the 'This Must Be The Place' actress, in which she starred opposite Sean Penn, was seen chatting to the event's hosts, Elton John and his partner David Furnish, as well as cooing over their two-year-old son, Zachary, with her father.
