Yes although it would be different now I think. He's got less to lose. He might as well go for it.

Everyone was waiting for him to fail in 2006 and he'd fallen out with just about every tabloid in the country and they were looking to destroy him. It was only a matter of time before it happened.

If he brought out an album like Rudebox now the press would be far more lenient I think.

I hope the next album will be left field. Keep moving forward and doing different stuff. That's what keeps it interesting. Although the other part of me wants it to be mainstream enough to get to number one. That's his dilemma I guess.

All things are meant to be anyway. If he hadn't had Rudebox, rehab, he wouldn't have taken time off and wouldn't have met Ayda. :)

He needed that break to happen in his life and if Rudebox had been accepted by the public like all his other albums, he might not have stopped working in 2007. Doesn't bear thinking where he may have ended up though. :(

I think you have it spot on Laura , he did need that break so maybe Rudebox worked in his favour in many ways even though he might not think so

I think the first of your posts I read was on Pure Robbie shortly after I became a fan, Laura. I always admired the way you analyse an see things and the calmness and serenity in your judgments always from the angle of good thinking. I also hope tat Robbie keeps it interesting. But I still hope he has commercial success.

Elisabeth it was nice what you said but I never posted on Purerobbie. I used to read there but not post. :)

I was thinking today - a few years ago when Robbie used to "disappear" between tours or albums, he really did disappear. You wouldn't hear anything from him for months other than tabloid tat.

Nowadays with social media - celebrities don't really disappear do they? There's always stuff being posted, random tweets from the artists themselves or those they've worked with. Little bits of information. So even when RW isn't working, there's always stuff going on somewhere. Which is nice in the quieter months.

I've read him say many times he loves Rudebox and that there will be another one.

I'll hold him to that. :)

Are you sure, Laura? Stupid to say that, but in my early Robbie times I often was annoyed about those people who always criticized him for anything he did and was vocal about it and there was a laura with some numbers behind her name with a very sensitive way saying what I said much harsher and always so good mooded. I thought it was you.

Embarrassing, sorry.

I am sorry, then for thinking this and being wrong. Nevertheless, what I said about me loving your attitude and posts is valid wherever I read what you write.

Well I'm not 100% sure

I might have posted maybe ten times on there in total and maybe one of those posts was what you saw Elisabeth. I can't really remember. I don't remember there being another Laura there so maybe it was me. My memory these days is shocking. :o

I definitely didn't post there regularly. They used to have a large membership on there didn't they?

Can someone explain the Miley Cyrus tweet to me from two days ago? I am lost.

Not sure Elisabeth, is it a new song she has out , I do not follow her , maybe Laura can throw some light on it :P

Guessing - it's just a track on her new album that he's listening to?

Edit: found this: :)

Miley Cyrus might have trumped Kanye West's presidential bid announcement at the close of the MTV Video Music Awards, when she announced her new album, Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, would be available online entirely for free.

The album highlights Cyrus' focus on social issues in recent years, including "Karen Don't Be Sad," an anti-bullying message with a clear compositional influence from Coyne's work with the Flaming Lips:

Robbie's always very effusive about Guy so it's nice when he says a little something back

I was there one of the nights :)

Did you get a chance to ask some questions Laura, was he on there for long. He never stops working, does he :)

Only a little one about the family. He replied.

He was only on for two minutes.

This is still funny no matter how many times you see it
