The press are the press , they say whatever they like :mellow: .. Robbie is in a good place these past number of years so I hope he ignores them.

 

I went to see the documentary/film on Amy Winehouse last night, what an eyeopener..I found it dark, disturbing , sad , she was hounded by the press & used by her family & most other people , she had a couple of friends who tried to help & her main supporter in the final years of her life seem to be her bodyguard . She was trying to get her life in order but it was too late. Showbusiness can be fabulous but it can also destroy a persons life.

She went to St Lucia or somewhere with her bodyguard & stayed with his family for about six months , her Dad followed her out with a camera crew for a tv he was making about being part of her life & what it was like, he did not come across as a very nice man , they put money before her welfare ...I found the whole film most disturbing, a lot of the footage was in her flat , not a nice place at all , she was in a bad way. You would not hear a pin drop at the movie, it was chilling . Robbie did the right thing in going to the USA , he took himself away from the mayhem & eventually sorted himself out , I wonder what the story would be if he had not met Ayda .

I guess that's why her Dad was not happy with the movie if he came out of it in a less than favourable light. I did wonder at that and why he was so anti the film.

 

If Robbie had not met Ayda maybe he would have stayed "retired" who knows? Although I think he's a lot stronger than he thinks he is.

 

There's no way his life would be as happy though. Everything seemed to fall into place when he met her. :)
