Course The Sats are fine with Mediocracy! The music probably accounts for 5% of their income! Most of the money is made through magazine shoots, appearances and tours etc...

TBH they don't really give a shit as long as it charts well to start with, I hardly think they'll lost sleep over 99p downloads which equate to jack all for them (money-wise).

I mean even albums make artists NO MONEY unless it shifts 500k etc..Because by the time the label, royalties, recording costs, album artwork, management and the actual retailer takes there profit, the actual artist gets nothing.

I know that artists don't make much off the music itself, but there's more to it than profits. Most artists at least have some desire to be one of the biggest in the industry, grow their fan base, or have multiple #1s. It seems that the Sats have no such goals anymore.

Woah; they're making the type of music they want to and enjoying their careers. Let them be.

I think it's really wonderful that they're in a good place and are enjoying themselves, but their lack of drive may be a sign that the end is near. I want to see them checking the midweeks and getting excited over chart performances like they did with Missing You. If they don't care about being successful anymore then their desire to work is going to diminish. That is bad because I want them to stay around as long as possible :)

I totally understand; it is quite sad tbh. It seems to have all arisen from the time Vanessa's voice completely cracked. I guess the fact a member has been pregnant for most of their promotional work since late 2011 hasn't helped their performances which do look "lifeless" now. The Gentleman routine is quite cute but I can't help but think how much more intense it would've been I'd the circumstances were different. :)

I think the Gentleman routine is one of their most "alive" one, actually. For example, the What About Us one is amazing, but some of them don't put enough energy into it, so it just looks stiff or half-arsed. The Gentleman routine is actually pretty simple and they seem to enjoy it (they probably think it's funny or something). I do think there's some places where it needs some more simple moves. For example, when Una sings "if you're always on your knees", well they should all get on their knees or something.

Are you actually serious!?? The saturdays should get on their knee's mid song?

Not only is that ridiculous, it would just become even more tacky and cringey!

I honestly think if they ditched the structured dance routine every single time an just had fun up there, jumping/dancing etc...

It would come across so much better than them prancing around and doing halfhearted dated moves.

I love The Sats but it's so obvious why people aged 16-25ish typically think they're rubbish.

Nearly top 200 on pre orders now.

B Listed on Radio 1 now. :)

In the way of the other two big releases that week, Icona Pop remain on the B List and John Newman is A Listed now... not sure if Digital Spy haven't updated their single releases list, but it has John Newman being released on 23rd June rather than 30th? Might just be a case of them not updating it but I don't recall him ever having a release date of the 23rd and then being pushed back to the 30th? Might be mistaken.

I know some are worried a little about Gentleman but I hope and think it's being released at the right time, in the sense that there are elements of funkiness that are quite similar to the sound/style of Blurred Lines and Get Lucky, which people seem to be lapping up right now. I know they're completely different sound wise-ish and lyrically, but I mean more along the lines of it being funky/groovier if that makes sense (probably not). Hopefully someone gets the jist of what I'm trying to say! :P

Moving on though, this song is such a grower. Still needs more power/bite in the chorus though.

John is still up for 30th of June on Itunes so it must be a mistake on their side

Edit: Happy to see The Sats finally made B-sides available for me too :D

I think a pushback of even one week would do wonders for this. It seems to be gaining momentum, it's just that little bit too late. Not to mention avoiding massive competition can only be a good thing for them.

I have to agree with you on this, unless it'll jump alot on airplay

Excited to hear Wildfire! When do you think we will hear it?

June 28, with the Ireland release leak.

Yeah I'd definitely push back the release now by 2 weeks or so.

I think What About Us has overshadowed this release I mean it only dropped out of the top 40 three weeks ago and is still on heavy rotation on Capital etc..

I'm still hopeful about a performance on The Voice, because a few days ago they were having fittings in suits (Potentially for a big performance) unless it was just for a magazine shoot?

I also recall one of The Sats saying about exciting things to come upon the release of gentleman, I really hope they have some bigger promo lined up because it all seems pretty relaxed, they haven't been into radio's or anything to actively promote Gentleman like they did with WAU.

I'm also wondering if they arn't really bothered anymore because they finally had a #1 (I hope that's not the case!).

I definitely think now it's not too soon to start radio tours.

I don't think they have anything big planned yet as promo.

Rochelle Humes to rejoin The Saturdays 'in a few weeks'

Rochelle Humes is expected to rejoin The Saturdays in a few weeks' time, according to her husband Marvin Humes.

The singer will reunite with her fellow bandmates just as they release new single 'Gentleman', following the birth of her baby daughter Alaia-Mai last month.

"Obviously she's still recovering and she's off work for a couple more weeks but she is raring to get back with the girls and do what she loves to do best," Marvin told Capital FM. "Alaia and her are just so beautiful, we're very, very lucky.

"Alaia-Mai is just, it's the most beautiful feeling, it's hard to explain," the JLS star added. "People always say how lovely it is but until it happens to you, you're just filled with such emotion that you've never felt before.

"The responsibility and the love and the togetherness is just amazing and we're very, very lucky."

The Saturdays will release their new single 'Gentleman' on June 30 and recently told Digital Spy that they are "not feeling the pressure" for it to top the chart.

#77 on Rolling Chart!

Much better, hopefully it manages to go top 70 and top 40 the following week.

I agree with Umi, pushing the single back a week would be the best thing to do.
