yeah, I agree on that - I mean, they haven't even put the single on iTunes. They should have definitely released it earlier than the album and make a decent promo, instead of solely pushing the album. I bet they are not even expecting anything out of About You.

I love the song, very catchy and very country - I can just imagine the music video with him singing it in a little bar with band playing while people are dancing and drinking around him - maybe even a bar fight can happen in the end :D

Shane has done a live stream answering many fan questions about the album and the tour:

 

 

I am really happy with how the record company seems to take care of Shane's career - we are talking about 12-18 months of promoting it with lots of singles, tv appearances and traveling worldwide. Plus, it will be great to see how well he will get on in USA.

 

By the way he keeps going on and on about All You Need To Know, I just can't wait to hear it already.

He always looks so humble and bad when he talks about the bankruptcy, it is very obvious he is feeling guily of the damage he has caused to the people - that is why I feel bad when people are dissing him saying nasty things when this could have happened to anyone, and it actually did happen to a lot of people. It is not like he wasted everything on drugs, alcohol or gambling.

I feel bad for him too, at the time they started the investment, property was one of the most reliable ways of making money, he clearly got burned badly from it. I don't really get the backlash, I think the biggest part comes from the fact he moved away from Ireland because of it, PR wise that wasn't the cleverest thing, but he needed to protect his family and I think a lot of people would have done the same, but there definitely seems a lot of negativity around it all in Ireland. I feel bad for him as a person because of it because it must have been extremely stressful and probably the worst time of his life and I don't get why you'd blame someone for trying to make the best of what they have, but it doesn't make me view his music any differently, positively or negatively.

 

Is there any news on previews yet? As much as I would like to hear the album I'm not parting money with the god awful Sun, so will happily wait. I have to admit I'm really nervous about this whole release though!

Wow! I have to admit after 'About You' I was a little worried about the album, but man it sounds amazing, the ballads are just gorgeous. Google Chrome is taking forever to buffer the video for me, but I'm upto track 12 and everything has been gorgeous so far. Definitely looking forwards to him performing Coming Home on tv like he has said, it sounds lush.

I already know I'll really enjoy the album, it is so positive and sweet. I'm glad he is happy, I can hear it through these songs, it is his way of dealing with hard times.

Coming Home sounds beautiful and I really love the sound of In The End and Everything's Gonna be Alright.

 

Also, Baby Let's Dance sounds so much better than the acoustic version.

His album leaked yesterday. it is great that it didn't earlier than that.

 

I definitely can't wait until my album arrives (I live in Croatia, who knows when it will come ), so I listened to it whole day yesterday.

 

I think it is a very good debut album - I would describe it as a fun feelgood album.

 

However, I am not expecting anything huge for him chartwise or saleswise - I mean, the album sales are truly dreadful this year, you can get no.1 with selling just 50K oppose to 130K which was the norm before.

 

It would be great if Shane gets in Top 10, even Top 15.

I saw that, I'm holding off until I get it though, hurry up Monday! I love the album sampler though and at least I have the deluxe track as completely brand new!

 

Have you heard anything about promo, all I've seen is Never Mind The Buzzcocks on Monday. I'm worried as he'll definitely need promo I don't think many people realise it's out. Fingers crossed for a top 10!! :)

I hate the fact that he talked about the bankruptcy for 10 minutes and just 2 minutes about the album. I know that this is interesting to journalists, but wasn't this about the album promo? They ask him the same questions over and over again, I'm sure he is sick of that, just as I am. His album is out, ask him about that :angry:
