Posted August 21, 200618 yr This has been bothering me for ages, but did Eric Prydz ever release an album anywhere?
August 21, 200618 yr I don't think so, although someone devised a tracklist of what could be a possible album as there were about 15 tracks floating around at the time that were rumoured to be by him, but actually weren't.
August 21, 200618 yr This has been bothering me for ages, but did Eric Prydz ever release an album anywhere? Not to my knowledge.
August 21, 200618 yr Author I don't think so, although someone devised a tracklist of what could be a possible album as there were about 15 tracks floating around at the time that were rumoured to be by him, but actually weren't. I was wondering about that as I remember when Dancing DJ's V Roxette first started getting airplay, it was credited as Eric Prydz.
August 22, 200618 yr I have a looped house track sampling Toto's Africa called "Take Me Away" that is (probably mis)labeled as an Eric Prydz song.
August 22, 200618 yr He was due to release a follow-up to Call on me, it was listed on the release schedule last year but nothing came of it.
August 22, 200618 yr He's left it WAY too late now to release a follow-up, that's for sure. I'm surprised he didn't release a follow-up soon after, to try and capitalise on the success of 'Call On Me'.
September 15, 200618 yr I heard another song of his called 'The Attic' which I remember thinking was really good at the time but cant remember what it sounds like now. He did a cover of Roxette's 'Fading Like A Flower' and then there was 'Woz Not Woz' but neither got released.
September 17, 200618 yr 'Woz Not Woz' is ACE! (It got a small release on Cr2 in 2004 before 'Call On Me' was released.. didn't go Top 40 though, but it was a massive club hit).
September 17, 200618 yr Eric Prydz is a DJ. He isn't likely to release many singles. I know he has remixed alot of tunes.
September 23, 200618 yr I think that he did release a follow up single however I think it failed to get top 200 and charted somewhere in the top 300 so basically it was a mega huge flop. An album though has never been released.
September 27, 200618 yr No i don't think he released an album. I doubt we will hear from him again (not under Eric Prydz anyway), looks like he is destined to be a one-hit wonder.
October 5, 200618 yr He records under the name Pryda (same name as his record label) and has released as many as a dozen instrumental EP's since Call on Me, one of the best of which is Spooks which is very similar in style to Call on Me and would have made an amazing comeback had it included vocals.
October 8, 200618 yr That Attic track is his remix of The Attic's Destiny. It is good though. Think he's behind the new version of Pink Floyd's Another Brick In The Wall forthcoming on EMI.
