No I don't think they'll playlist Daft Punk, unfortunately I think they're too 90s for Radio 1 to playlist. For the same reason they won't playlist Basement Jaxx either.

I dont think dance acts go through the same "age" discrimination as other genres. With dance its more "sub-genre" discrimation that happens, for example certain types of dance music have no chance at getting support from R1.

Thye might if it continues in the top 10 on itunes into next week - also they have polayed it 3 times today already whereas with most new songs they give them a play just on Zane Lowe and the 10am show so maybe this will be a rare straight into the a/b list next wednesday!!
