July 31, 201410 yr Author National Lottery is not exactly their ideal audience though. It doesn't help that it's on a Saturday night either! I hope they have promotion each day throughout the week and some album singings. It's the only way that the campaign will work.

I agree with that but it's still better than any of their promo slots for 'Not Giving Up'!
July 31, 201410 yr They just need to make sure they don't rely just on that one slot, and back it up with some decent surrounding promo.
July 31, 201410 yr Leah's performance was late at night due to to the Commonwealth Games, this will be around 8pm
July 31, 201410 yr Leah's performance was late at night due to to the Commonwealth Games, this will be around 8pm Oh yeah, Leah's was at 10.40, and still had a decentish effect - It was only a 10 minute show. The girls will be on between 8 - 9PM, are more known and liked by the public and have had better airplay than Leah (a bit..). I think this will be good promo...like I said, as long as they don't rely souley on that one slot to sell the single and album. They might not preform WAYWF btw, they could perform Disco Love, Ego, Issues etc which might be better for the audience and album.
July 31, 201410 yr I certainly wouldn't be complaining about them doing the Lottery, it will be far more effective than Lorraine/This Morning/Loose Women.
July 31, 201410 yr The Lottery programme at 8pm is a quiz show which usually gets ~4m viewers. The 10:30pm show that Leah appeared on was the draws only and only received 1.5-2m viewers.

As much as I've complained a lot about the promo being bad, I'd probably say that this is the best musical promo slot they could have hoped for around this time of year. If they can get The Alan Carr on the 8th or 15th as well, I say their team has done a pretty good job. Shows like This Morning and Loraine get better viewers in the summer too, due to people not being at work/school as much. Pixie Lott is also performing on Weekend TWICE on the Sunday that WAYWF is released. This would have been a great slot for them to sing two of their greatest hits. So we have confirmed: MTV Asks the Saturdays Saturday 9th August at 12:00pm MTV Music - The National Lottery: Break the Safe Saturday 9th August at 8:00pm on BBC - Sunday Brunch Sunday 10th August at 9:30am on Channel 4 - We'll almost certainly get This Morning/Lorraine Performances. Let's hope they also have: The Singer Takes it All - 8th or 15th Weekend (double performance) Saturday 2nd Some more Radio chats, particularly Radio 1. Let's Lunch with Gino and Mel And that's a strong promo campaign. Edited July 31, 201410 yr by JoeP
July 31, 201410 yr I don't know if I want them to perform 'What Are You Waiting For' (because it needs ALL the help it can get...) or if I want them to perform a song that will actually sell their Greatest Hits...
July 31, 201410 yr I would rather they performed one of their lower selling songs than the typical WAU, to help get them some more sales on those singles.
July 31, 201410 yr They need to go and do 5 different radio shows (1 each) as much as possible. Loads of stations would happily have them on for an interview. Rochelle has loads of friends at Radio 1 and Capital. They might not playlist The Sats but they'd gladly have her on. also didn't they record something for Channel 5? was that in one of their mailers/flips or something? July 31, 201410 yr They could always do a couple of medleys *.* They'd need to rehearse extra for that so I doubt they'd even consider it  Altho an AFU, WAYWF and Higher mix would be amazing *.*

I literally thought they weren't doing anything at all. Will they perform on the lottery then? That's quite a good slot is it not?
July 31, 201410 yr Oh wow er actually have stuff confirmed? I literally thought they weren't doing anything at all. Will they perform on the lottery then? That's quite a good slot is it not? Yes, they are performing at the lottery and pulling the balls. - I actually think it's the best performance slot you could hope for at this time of year. I hope they do perform WAYWF at the lottery - it's the day before the single release, not the album, after all. They should so it once more in the week for This Morning or something. But I think they should perform other songs on any other promo they have though.
July 31, 201410 yr Available promo slots are... BBC Breakfast, Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning, Let's Do Lunch, Big Brother's Bit on the Side, The Singer Takes It All, Weekend, National Lottery, Sunday Brunch, The One Show. There's no reason why they can't promote on all of these shows. They can all be easily fitted in with a few radio interviews in one week... Thursday 7th: Good Morning Britain and Lorraine Friday 8th: Rochelle presenting This Morning and The Singer Takes It All Saturday 9th: National Lottery + Radio 1 interview Sunday 10th: Sunday Brunch + Capital FM interview Monday 11th: BBC Breakfast + a couple of local radio stations in North and Midlands Tuesday 12th: This Morning Wednesday 13th: The One Show Thursday 14th: Let's Do Lunch Friday 15th: Rochelle presenting This Morning and Big Brother's Bit on the Side Saturday 16th: Weekend Sunday 17th: Radio interviews Aren't the guests already confirmed for most of these though? It's possible someone booked these slots before them.
