I knew sales were low in Ireland, with the population being so small, but not that low. :o I take it that all but the very few top albums sell next too nothing too.

Well i don't know very much about Irish sales. The chart is'nt a big deal over here. But Ronan olny selling "91" copies certainly was a big deal. Their was a big article about his carear going downhill -_-

I read that article and it's pretty much a hatched job done by someone with a huge chip on their shoulder (a friend of Louis Walsh I believe), she certainly wasn't too bothered at getting her facts right. He doesn't promote or tour in Ireland and the radio stations didn't play the single so it was hardly surprising that it didn't do well there. His album went top 10 in most of the European countries it was released in, as well as Australia, New Zealand, Asia so I'm sure he won't too bothered about the Irish market, I don't think he will be signing on just yet!

well, at least the album is quite high on the charts again

I prefer the original version of Iris as well, but Ronans version isn't that bad. I've seen Ronan live and he puts on a great show.

 

He seems to be a lot more popular in the North than the South of Ireland conversely, and the sales there will of course count towards the British chart. His album seems to be selling quite well at the moment.

 

 

 

I want Ronan to succeed purely to wipe the smug grin off that t*** Louis Walsh's face :puke2:

It seems a lot of people aren't able to enter the Ronan official site, neither the forum !

I know his last single flopped badly, but this doesn't seem a wise move ! :o
