May 17, 201312 yr Didnt get to watch semi final 2 live had it recorded, much stronger songs than semi one, Norway has really grown on me but i love Georgia and Azerbaijan and i think Georgia are going to do very well on Saturday night as will Azerbaijan. Cant believe that rubbish from Romania went through, i would have loved San Marino to have went through.
May 17, 201312 yr 01 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Latvia.png Latvia: PeR - Here We Go Well that was energetic. Really was hoping it could be a dark horse. Sadly the opening slot ruined its chances. Firmly believing this would've qualified had it been performed from a late slot. Anyway, performance was pretty great. Still don't feel anything when listening to the song though bye ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 02 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/San_Marino.png San Marino: Valentina Monetta - Crisalide (Vola) Vocally pretty weak, although still great comparing to some other singers. Her OTTness really didn't help the cause as well. She was positively FABULOUS otherwise though. Y u no qualify Valentina?! ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 03 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/FYR_Macedonia.png Macedonia: Esma & Lozano - Pred da se razdeni FAB FAB FAB *.* Lozano started off pretty off-key but recovered SO WELL! Esma was incredible. Everything was pretty much perfect. I hate everyone for not voting for this. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 04 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Azerbaijan.png Azerbaijan: Farid Mammadov - Hold Me Best stage gimmick this year! Pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this performance and how good Farid was live! The fact he's EXTREMELY f***able helped the cause as well. Seriously thinking it might be a contender on Saturday. Best Azerbaijani entry to-date. TRUE FACT. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 05 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Finland.png Finland: Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me 0/10 for the song + 2/10 for personality + 3/10 for the kiss. The song is still horrible but at least now I can stand it due to Krista's personality saving it. I'm actually SHOCKED they showed the kiss like that. However, on second thought, it is Sweden so I don't think they'd have done otherwise now. I'm afraid they might pause the broadcast for the final in Russia though which would be an absolute shame since the performance will be aired between 11pm and midnight and as far as I know we, too, have this watershed thing. I was close to SHAKING by the end of the performance anticipating the kiss! Almost yelled when she did it, too. AMAZING. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 06 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Malta.png Malta: Gianluca - Tomorrow Oh god stop with the smiling. Making it so hard to hate him. The ultimate twee song with lyrics about a maniac who stalks a girl who can't really find out what her race is. Baffling. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 07 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Bulgaria.png Bulgaria: Elitsa and Stoyan - Samo shampioni Well that was fabulous. Didn't surprise me that they couldn't qualify as the whole percussion thing worked well in 2007 and either people already remembered it or it just got boring too quickly. Water >> Samo Shampioni too. Shame. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 08 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Iceland.png Iceland: Eyþór Ingi - Ég á líf Well this one was absolutely incredible. So many goosebumps. Can't really add anything as he really was perfect. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 09 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Greece.png Greece: Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis - Alcohol Is Free The vocalist (who is the guy who was at the press conference) is really hot omg. Kilts were fabulous and I think I found my new fetish - kilt on a fabulously hot-looking guy. *.* The song was good enough and combined with the performance it's really the thing televoters are BORN to dig. It was indeed pretty silly of me to think that this might DNQ. Perhaps in a universe where Valentina qualifies for the Eurovision final! ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 10 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Israel.png Israel: Moran Mazor - Rak bishvilo First of all, her dress made her look like a fat pregnant mermaid with huge boobs. Fire the costume designers ASAP. She was good on stage but neither the performance nor the song were memorable enough so I'm not even that surprised that she DNQd. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 11 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Armenia.png Armenia: Dorians - Lonely Planet Ugh cannot believe this could qualify. I mean WHO even voted for it?! FIX ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 12 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Hungary.png Hungary: ByeAlex - Kedvesem (Zoohacker Remix) I love the studio version but he was pretty stiff and lifeless live (oh the irony). Getting through on his hipster quirky look, I SEE. Don't think it was higher than 8th in the Semi though so expecting a repeat of their 2012 finish, although a late draw might potentially help them. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 13 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Norway.png Norway: Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love As expected, she was absolutely incredible. I already knew she would be so it didn't impact me as much as, say, Iceland. GREAT draw in the final so fully expecting Top 5 or even Top 3 for this. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 14 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Albania.png Albania: Adrian & Bledar - Identitet Well that was a let down on the studio version. Don't think I remember anything particular about the performance now. Says it all. Will be surprised if they didn't finish bottom 2. ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 15 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Georgia.png Georgia: Nodi & Sophie - Waterfall This song is just THERE. A turtle and a giraffe have more chemistry than this duet. It just DOESN'T WORK GIVE UP. At least Ell & Nikki were compatible and not looking like they WANT TO KILL EACH OTHER (I'm looking at you Sophie - by FAR the worst of all Georgian Sophie/Sofia/Sophia/So-whatever's). ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 16 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Switzerland.png Switzerland: Takasa - You and Me Public are so age-ist omg. Unlesed you are cute + super old and female. Croatia 2008 and Russia 2012 were the last ones that SUCCESSFULLY exploited old people in their performances. Well the latter were ALL old people so it doesn't really count. Very pleasant Swiss performance. It wasn't enough for a Q though, unfortunately. Maybe they needed a TODDLER on stage as well? ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ 17 http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Romania.png Romania: Cezar - It's My Life I hate myself that I love it. Vocals were amazing and the whole thing just WORKED. bye haters good luck hating ◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙◙ --- 01 10/10 Norway 02 10/10 Azerbaijan 03 10/10 Iceland 04 10/10 Macedonia 05 10/10 Bulgaria 06 09/10 San Marino 07 09/10 Romania 08 08/10 Israel 09 08/10 Switzerland 10 08/10 Hungary 11 08/10 Greece 12 07/10 Latvia 13 07/10 Malta 14 06/10 Albania 15 05/10 Finland 16 05/10 Georgia 17 04/10 Armenia
May 17, 201312 yr My thoughts on the semi, very quickly before I go out! - We were given wrist LED's before we entered the arena which flashed up the colours of each flag as the song started, hence the amazing light effects in the arena - From where I was sat I could see the stage and backstage so I could see the artist's coming on/off the stage and their reactions before/after 01 Latvia: PeR - Here We Go - This had a lot of energy, we were told that he would stage dive beforehand by the floor manager so the crowd knew to pick him up. The vocals were ropey though. 02 San Marino: Valentina Monetta - Crisalide (Vola) - This went down incredibly well and I'm surprised it didn't qualify, but maybe the crowd just liked supporting an underdog, so much energy in the final minute. 03 Macedonia: Esma & Lozano - Pred da se razdeni - This was crap, enough said. 04 Azerbaijan: Farid Mammadov - Hold Me - There were a row of Azerbaijan's in front of me going wild for this, I didn't think too much of it but he performed well. 05 Finland: Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me - This was fantastic, so much energy and I adore this song now, and obviously it was one of the performances of the night. 06 Malta: Gianluca - Tomorrow - Very twee but it's very likeable so I'm not surprised to see it qualify. 07 Bulgaria: Elitsa and Stoyan - Samo shampioni - This just lacked 'something' and I felt a DNQ coming on after the performance. It's just not Water. 08 Iceland: Eyþór Ingi - Ég á líf - Really really good, I can see why Iceland picked this now and he smashed it. 09 Greece: Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis - Alcohol Is Free - So much energy and a great performance but I still think the song is awful. 10 Israel: Moran Mazor - Rak bishvilo - This was utterly forgettable, she sang a non-song very well though, good for her but I'm glad I won't have to sit through it again. 11 Armenia: Dorians - Lonely Planet - The crowd were in UPROAR at this going through, so much booing. I actually like this song (the chord progression is great before the chorus) but he sang HORRIBLY. 12 Hungary: ByeAlex - Kedvesem (Zoohacker Remix) - Good and nothing more but the arena looked great in green throughout, very pretty lighting effects! 13 Norway: Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love - Stunning, as soon as that crunchy electro intro came in I was so excited and so were the whole crowd. 14 Albania: Adrian & Bledar - Identitet - Good LORD I heard this song a lot yesterday, it's not that great though, like a Montenegro dad-rock entry so it's no sad loss. 15 Georgia: Nodi & Sophie - Waterfall - This seems to have been made bigger than it actually is with the performance. The song is a nice, safe 8/10 like Running Scared but the pyrotechnics, lighting etc...especially at the key change somehow made it feel amazing. I hope it only finishes low top ten though, as a song it didn't move me much. 16 Switzerland: Takasa - You and Me - This seemed really anthemic actually, thought it might have snuck through. 17 Romania: Cezar - It's My Life - This was a real event performance, the crowd loved it so I'm not surprised that it sailed through to the final, his voice is something else! - Darin was incredible, especially Nobody Knows, his other song was poor. Nobody Knows really highlighted how much more energy more people bring to the stage, he had about 20 people up there with him. Both of Agnes' songs were flawless but I wanted more of Release Me! - Lynda Woodruff's sketch was great (don't know if they showed this on the BBC) - I adore Petra Mede, in stitches when she compared herself to Mother Theresa! Basically it was sensational and my favourites were Norway, Finland and Iceland so I'm glad they went through, the Scandi countries on form once again this year!
May 17, 201312 yr - Lynda Woodruff's sketch was great (don't know if they showed this on the BBC) They did not this time. :o  Off to Youtube I go.
May 17, 201312 yr They didn't even show the sketch on eurovision.tv :o :o I DID wonder why they would show her in SF1 and promise to show her in the Final (as Petra did in the end) but not in SF2. WOT
May 17, 201312 yr I am disappointed for San Marino, i think the problem may have been going my own thoughts, the first half of the song is kind of boring and some viewers may have switched off from it, its final minute had great vocals and so much energy. Iceland had an anthemic feel to it with a little hint in sound of Eurovision of years gone by and it all surprisingly worked well.
May 17, 201312 yr I absolutely loved the sketch this time! How weird that they don't air this in every country?
May 17, 201312 yr So you like Finland only because that kiss in the end. :( Sad, that 3 best perfomances didn't qualified. Best perfomances : - San Marino [Huge distance between Valentina and all another entries. BEST vocals. Simple, but intresting perfomance !!!] - Switzerland [Don't understand why they didn't qulified, VERY good song] - Israel [Don't like song, but nice voice] Nice perfomances : - Romania [Cezar's perfomance was the second highlight of this evening after San Marino. Nice draw, unique voice and he is in a final. Well done, really deserved] - Finland [Disappointment. Not good vocals. Krista's bet is only scandal girls kiss. I Like song lyrics, her wedding dress, her looks, kiss was cute and innocent, but it's SONG contest. From my favourites : Birgit and Valentina were amazing on the stage. No doubt, that Bonnie will great in a final] - Armenia [Chanceless before semifinal and nice surprise yesterday. Maybe it's about artist quality, which did his work well] - Iceland [it's really good year for male singers. After nice result for Ireland, Lithuania, Belgium, now it was lucky day for Iceland. Can't say anything bad about it.] Lucky perfomances : - Malta [90 %, it was lucky # 10 over Israel. Nothing special] - Greece [Two words : folk and fun. Very friendly for televoters. I don't like this song, but it's so far from the worst part] Unlucky perfomances : - Latvia [Not bad, very Jedward. Don't understand, why they didn't qualified, but shut up, because ultimate perfomances from San Marino, Israel, Switzerland were robbed. It's VERY and MORE painful for me and SHAMEFUL for the Europe] Overrated perfomances : - Azerbaijan [Nothing intresting, his vocals wasn't worst, but weak in compare with Valentina and Moran] - Georgia [Most boring ballad in this year] Bad perfomances : - Macedonia [Try to be honestly. Western European music is more intresting for me, than Balcan ethnics. It's different culture and another music. Esma's part was fierce. Lozano's voice saves this song from the bottom of table] - Hungary [very freakish, but it's not "Dancin Lasha Tumbai" (it's positive moment). Strange song, maybe it's new music style or new trend. I really don't know.] My all-time worst ESC songs list needs in some updates : - Bulgaria [similar with Macedonia, but miles worse. I hate "Voda" and this song is very similar and not better] - Albania [Awful live perfomance, not friendly music style] Typical BLOODY UNHONESTY hype, which we have every year : - Norway [Peoples love "Hype" around 1-2 bad / not good Eurovision songs every year. In 2012 it were "Shitphoria", "Suus" and that Italian clone of the all-time worst female singer. Now we have Margaret Berger]
May 17, 201312 yr Bonnie Tyler getting that all important promo! TURN IT OFF OMFG I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE IT WAS HER.

If it was a song contest, performance wouldn't come into it and it may as well just be on the radio. Just because it's called a song contest doesn't mean it is I e. Also, have you ever considered that some of us may love I Feed You My Love on the basis of the song rather than hype? Just because your music taste is absolutely terminal doesn't mean you can patronise us in explaining why people don't like the things you do.
May 17, 201312 yr Just caught up with last nights semi-final First time I've heard any of the songs, so my ranking based on first impressions: 01 Norway: Margaret Berger - I feed you my love 02 Finland: Krista Siegfrids - Marry me 03 San Marino: Valentina Monetta - Crisalide (Volá) 04 Greece: Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis - Alcohol is free 05 Romania: Cezar - It's My Life 06 Georgia: Nodi & Sophie - Waterfall 07 Bulgaria: Elitsa and Stoyan - Samo shampioni 08 Azerbaijan: Farid Mammadov - Hold me 09 Israel: Moran Mazor - Rak bishvilo 10 Latvia: PeR - Here we go 11 Armenia: Dorians - Lonely Planet 12 Switzerland: Takasa - You and me 13 Macedonia: Esma & Lozano - Pred da se razdeni 14 Hungary: ByeAlex - Kedvesem (Zoohacker Remix) 15 Malta: Gianluca - Tomorrow 16 Iceland: Eyþór Ingi - Ég á lif 17 Albania: Adrian & Bledar - Identitet 6/10 of my top 10 through. Not bad. Hungary, Malta and Iceland though :puke2:
May 17, 201312 yr I did not like the kiss at the end by Finland simply because it was totally contrived and in a way un-neccessary. To clarify i am the type of person who does not give a flying thought to a person who is gay, straight whatever once they are happy. But back to the point i just feel they used it to try and grab attention and potentially get press coverage as they would know the kiss would not go down well with the older audiences of Eurovision and i think they wanted to stir that up to bring attention to the entry and possibly grab votes out it. Maybe im totally out of point, i dont know, did anyone else think the same?
May 17, 201312 yr Not getting the hype for Georgia AT ALL. Can they just go back to 2007 and keep it that way.
May 17, 201312 yr Not getting the hype for Georgia AT ALL. Can they just go back to 2007 and keep it that way. YES PLEASE. 2007 and 2010 entries on repeat 4eva
May 17, 201312 yr Not getting the hype for Georgia AT ALL. Can they just go back to 2007 and keep it that way. Yeah I'm not really getting what sets it apart from all of the other ballads? One More Day, as said above, is my favourite Georgia entry.
May 17, 201312 yr 'Shine' is my favourite Georgia entry, just amazing especially when Sofia performed it live in Oslo! 'Waterfall' is amazing though and all of Georgia's entries have been very good except last year!
