Yes believe it or not! we do have 9 different solo singles to choose from for Gary. When typing up this list a specific point hit me, who on earth decided that Stronger was the best way to launch the second album, terrible choice, another sign that they wanted this album to flop to get rid of him at the time.

Joint favs are Forever Love and Open Road, followed by LWW, Shame and Sing.

I quite like Lay Down For Love, Wondering and Lie to Me

I definitely prefer his newer stuff to his older stuff. Shame is brilliant.

Out of his older stuff I like Open Road, Love Won't Wait and Forever Love. The rest I'm not as keen on.

Open Road is what i actually voted for as i love it but i do love some of his other singles too, so i will them in order starting with the best.

Love

01 Open Road (Real feel good sing along song that stays in the head and makes me smile)

02 Forever Love (Great ballad and was such a promising and strong start to his solo career)

03 So Help Me Girl (Really like this too, and was ever so disappointed it did not make the top 10, instead ended up a rather annoying number 11 hit but had a couple of re-entries making it an alright chart run in the end)

Really Like

04 Shame (Like this, expected something very different from him and Robbie when i first heard of the duet but it grew grew grew on me and ended up loving it)

05 For all that you want (Very catchy and summery sound and should have been lead single well a head of stronger)

06 Sing (Love the chorus to this and i always feel it has a Christmas vibe to it)

Like

07 Here comes the sun (This is ok, didn't ever really love it and likewise with the original)

Dislike

08 Stronger (Disastrous choice as lead single and it was a song i feel that tried to be something it wasn't and tried to have this cool vibe that it wasn't)

09 Love wont wait (Never liked this, such a weak follow up to Forever love, i never listen to this anymore, and the cover sleeve for the single was awful as well.

This is between 3 songs for me to get my vote and while i much prefer 12 months 11 days as an album open road had better singles, the three im undecided with are Forever love, so help me girl and open road........................decisions decisions

Had 12 months 11 days performed better and had it got a full campaign it would have ended up with some better singles than Open Road, but that didnt happen and the result was very little singles were released of 12 months 11 days so i would have to agree with you.
So true! Open Road was a weaker album but had stand out moments, whereas 12 months was a solid album without ever shining through singles. Stronger was really strange, I think it's b side Wondering was 10x stronger (excuse the pun!) than it tbh

The voting is very split on this and we are still without a winner

Open Road, Sing, Shame and For All That You Want. Oh and Lie to Me but that's not on here :(

I still would of loved to see what would have happened if Lie To Me was released.

Whether it would of gone the same way as FATYW and stronger or whether it would of had a RW Angels effect and kick started the album and recorded a top 10 placement

Can do nothing but agree on Lie To Me, that without doubt should have led the album campaign as first single, my own belief is the 12 monthe 11 days era would have turned out very different. Stronger was a poor choice to lead the campaign. Anyone who bought the album and most of the reviews all singled out Lie To Me as the standout track which heavily heavily suggests it would have done well.

Maybe these things were meant to happen. Maybe if Gary's solo career succeeded for longer we would have never got the Take That material we can now gloriously enjoy. As a person i would believe Gary turned out a much better and stronger human being from the fall out of his solo career.
