But, on the whole I think the album should be scrapped and she should come up with something totally different, because the tracks I have heard have been rubbish! I tried my best to like Deja Vu but, its not vintage Beyonce. I'm not suprised it's bombed in the US. Her 2nd track should be called "Ring the PANIC alarm" if she proceeds with this drivel!

Uhh...it didn't bomb in the US, it actually went top 5 over there. Also, there's no way they'd delay B'Day, they have the release date to coincide with her birthday. It's waaaaaaaaaaay too late now to scrap it.

Maybe the album won't be called B'day then? Because if they want to destroy her career, then they should proceed! It has been reported that Beyonce Knowles may delay the release of her second solo album after it was panned by critics. ‘B’Day’ was supposed to help cement Beyonce status as the number 1 R & B diva, but instead it has bombed before even being released. The first two singles from the album ‘Déjà vu’ and ‘Alarm’ have also failed to set the radio waves on fire and now her manager/father Mathew Knowles is stepping in to take control. MediaTakeOut.com report that Knowles is now in talks with SongBMG to delay the release of the album because he is not satisfied with the finished product. An insider at the label has revealed that Knowles senior wants to rework tracks and include some high profile duets to help sell the album. The insider said of Knowles: "he's been relentlessly pressuring [sony BMG] to postpone the release of the album for a couple of weeks now." "Mathew's relentless ... it's only a matter of time before he gets his way." It is thought that the reworked album will feature duets with both Shakira and Chris Brown…watch this space for more information.

And it's going to be #1 or #2 in the UK on Sunday.

And it's going to be #1 or #2 in the UK on Sunday. Well it is for Beyonce. God anything she puts out stays in the top 3 for an age in the US. This show this song is very poor. And, it doesn't matter where it gets in the this country, it matters how well it does in the US (because thats her biggest market, if they don't like her stuff there, it will be changed- probably highly likely now). And, if the lead track is performing rubbish on iTunes there is no hope for the album. You cannot deny that good sales on the hot digital tracks, are normally now representative of how well albums will do (with a few exceptions). Once this single has been labelled a flop which it has been on US radio (my friends over there tell me), the album won't push much.
August 23, 200618 yr Lets clear this up: -Deja Vu got to #4 on the back of 1st week downloads. -The song BOMBED on pop radio. -Most Americans (bar stans) hate the song/think its not very good. -Clips leaked of the album with most taking badly to them, many of the songs sound samey. -The US Press has panned the album. -Deja Vu looks likely to even go Gold on downloads, selling under 200,000 units. -The album was recorded in 2 weeks and shows. With an underwhleming 1st and 2nd single (2 very unpopular videos) people simply won't go out and buy the album. The new is nothing more than RUMOUR at this stage but if it were confirmed it wouldn't suprise me -_-
August 23, 200618 yr Many music stations in the US are saying that Sony want to delay the album until October/November, because they want to add two new tracks to it. One is a duet with Chris Brown, the other is with Shakira.

August 23, 200618 yr shakira won't do it :P the problem with beyonce is that everything sounds rushed her album done in just 2 weeks, she should focus on her music career not her perfume, fashion or film, thats the reason why she is suffering she doesn't seem to be 100% into the music and that should come first, the videos are weak and manic the first 2 releases are below par her album is gonna suffer as a result people expect much more from her and these are not up to standard

August 24, 200618 yr By now the whole album will have been pressed and shipped all around the world. I can't see SBMG letting it be postponed. A reissue is realistic, but I wish labels and artists would get it right the first time.
