June 12, 201312 yr If Spain play at their best the match against Tahiti could be severely embarrassing.
June 12, 201312 yr Bit of a pointless tournament, might as well just skip to the inevitable Brazil v Spain final
June 12, 201312 yr The tournament is as much about being a trial run for next year's World Cup than the tournament itself.
June 13, 201312 yr Come on Nigeria!!! Although a semi final place is the best we can hope for realistically.
June 15, 201312 yr Brazil 3 Japan 0 - 3rd minute of the first half (brilliant goal from Neymar), 3rd minute of 2nd half and 3rd minute of stoppage time
June 17, 201312 yr It's gonna be weird watching matches at midnight when the World Cup takes place next year. LMAO at Martin Caceres's "MC Hammer" shorts
June 18, 201312 yr Author Italy beat Mexico 2-1 Spain beat Uruguay 2-1 Nigeria beat Tahiti 6-1 As it stands: Group A: 1. Brazil 2. Italy 3. Mexico 4. Japan Group B: 1. Nigeria 2. Spain 3. Uruguay 4. Tahiti
June 20, 201312 yr Author Brazil beat Mexico 2-0 Italy beat Japan 4-3 Brazil and Italy both through to the semi-finals. Straight fight for the group A top spot on Saturday
June 20, 201312 yr For such a one-sided game Spain v Tahiti was actually quite enjoyable. At least Tahiti didn't adopt the sort of negative tactics we generally see from the likes of Andorra. And credit is due to Spain for leaving the pitch and allowing Tahiti to bask in the acclaim from the crowd. Nobody who witnessed this crowd can claim that support for the underdog is a particularly British characteristic.
June 21, 201312 yr Mark Lawerenson's commentary during Uruguay vs Nigeria had me in stiches. He has got to be the most un-enthusiastic commentator in the world and his conversation killing one-worded answers were just so funny  Shame about the result though :(
June 21, 201312 yr Author Spain win 10-0 vs. Tahiti. Uruguay beat Nigeria 2-1. That should be Uruguay through to the semi-finals ahead of Nigeria now as you'd expect Uruguay to beat Tahiti and Nigeria to lose to Spain Credit to Tahiti though, who didn't sit back as you'd expect most of these sides to do. Some will say it's naive, but realistically they knew they had no chance of winning and would have gained more joy out of losing 10-1 than 6-0 having scored a goal against the world and european champions They'd probably give England a good game
June 24, 201312 yr Author Group A finishes as: 1. Brazil 2. Italy 3. Mexico 4. Japan Brazil top the group after a 4-2 win over Italy. Mexico beat Japan 2-1 Group B: 1. Spain 2. Uruguay 3. Nigeria 4. Tahiti Spain beat Nigeria 3-0. Uruguay beat Tahiti 8-0 Semi-finals: 26th: Brazil vs. Uruguay 27th: Spain vs. Italy
