Sooooooo,

Tues 25th June at a very sunny Hampden Park, Glasgow.

Quite a lot of guys in crowd. Many more than at TT.

- Robbie, trip wire, zoom, scream YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! (I spied the trip wire. He's gonna zoom down that thing as an entrance, I said to friend. You think? she said. Yeah, deffo, I said.

- LMEY, scream, bounce, bounce, one hand in the air, two hands in the air.... Robbie F**** Williams, for the next 2 hours your ass is mine. More screamy screams.

- Monsoon, wave arms, sing loudly. Nice to hear that one again. B-)

- Not Like the Others. Jump about and sing loudly. Unfortunately was only person in my part of audience who seemed to know it so looked a bit deranged... <_<.Great stadium song though.

- Minnie the Moocher. No idea why.... Sat down again.

- Kids. With Olly and some Bromance :w00t: Everyone enjoyed that one. Although Robbie upstaged Olly in the showmanship rather majorly... ;) Swayed about on a big Robbie silver head.

- Sin Sin Sin, Bodies, Come Undone. A big bronze Robbie head then appeared. With stairs. Robbie went upstairs, downstairs, round stairs, hung over stairs. Fireworks exploded from top of head. I enjoyed this segment. Sung Come Undone very well(him, not me)

-Everything Changes, Strong. Red vertical bed, confident woman from audience, Robbie looking quite scared. I liked the puppet. Think he could have scrapped this segment tbh....

- Gospel, Be a Boy. Sung them well but nobody seemed to know them. At least in my posh section. :( Loved the backing singers singing in a polite voice 'And if you don't, go **** yourself'. Caused no end of giggles.

Acoustic set- Millennium, Better Man, Sexed up. RW sang really well. Voice really quite good when he stands still. :D Looked like Elvis. Enjoyed muchly. Big singalong.

Then he says- been on loads of fan forums recently. Looking to see what songs we wanted him to sing. One song cropped up again and again. Not a hit. Not even a single. Ooooohhhh, thinks I. My prayers have been answered. It must be 'Into the Silence' :w00t:. But alas, Me and My Monkey... Great visuals but mind wandered to Tesco list after couple of minutes. Friend loved it though

- Candy, Hot Fudge, Rock DJ. All went down well. Audience sozzled by this point. Bouncing and singing along. :yahoo:

Encore- Feel, She's the One, Angels. No surprises. Good, strong singing with 100% audience participation. One big karaoke night by now.

More fireworks.

End. Home. Traffic jam.

Sooooo, Robbie was more relaxed and confident than I've ever seen him. Loved his banter with the audience and his video of Olly falling down the stairs. Setlist was a bit 'safe' and he resurrected a few Knebworth era songs (to encourage us to buy the Knebworth 10 year dvd maybe? :P )

I'd have included-

Karma Killer

Phoenix from the Flames

Into the Silence (obv)

Tripping

But I think Robbie's stadium audience these days is 20% committed fans (who know every song recorded) and 80% casual fans (who only know the big hits and go to see him mainly for the showmanship and the bevvy). Maybe he realises this and tailors his setlist accordingly...

Anyway, I had a great night and thought he sung and performed well. But it was SO LOUD!!!!!

:cheer:

Oh :(

Has everybody gone?

Hmphhhhh <_<

I love Me & My Monkey, you two have no taste or spirit of adventure, I was with that monkey every step of the way -_-

Loved the backing singers singing in a polite voice 'And if you don't, go **** yourself'. Caused no end of giggles. I was singing along top that, thought it was very funny

Meant to say, my concert cd arrived yesterday. Haven't listened yet (tennis viewing duties :P ).

But it's a bit of a palaver. You get 3 discs but the final 'encore disc' is blank. You then have to go on to a website, input your e-mail and a code, download the 3 encore songs and then burn them to the blank encore disc. Why?

Anyway, think I've followed the instructions ok so I'll listen tomorrow. <_<

I should get a discount for doing half the cd copying myself....
