It's a rather good promotion slot she has already regarding the debut of 'Nasty'. I'm confident Radio 1 will continue supporting her and if ' Heart Cry ' is anything like the album, I have high hopes.

I wouldn't call boring "nasty", I'd call it boring, but OK.

 

This is me looking like a defensive Pixie loon but I am really bored of supposed witty posts that really don't say anything. Not looking at you, but Griff and Leww.

Where's the source for this artwork? People on ATRL forums suggest it isn't the official cover anyway.

It's not a TERRIBLE cover, but there's hardly that much wrong with it... It's a bit awkward I would say but she's pretty and it's just a but basic, but for a single cover it doesn't matter too much surely?

well i think the cover is obviously nasty, doesn't take much english comprehension to understand that.

 

if someone says a song is awful they don't point out every second, if they think a cover is awful they don't point out every flaw, so i don't see why i need to 100% outline everything i don't like about it when i just find it generally awful. you didn't ask silver rocket to expand on why he found it 'nice'?

You are one of the worst members for randomly attacking somebody for having a different opinion, don't even bother saying otherwise.

Griff, get a clue. I at no point said disliking the cover was a bad thing and my opinion was hardly positive myself. How you could even bring up "the majority" is beyond me, when it is quite obvious the negative opinions ARE the majority here.

Silver Rocket's post was neither trying to be funny nor potentially incendiary. Ideally he would have expanded on his opinion too but I find an adjective as strong as "nasty" invites an explanation. "Best single cover ever" similarly would have.

Surely she won't be huge this time? Her five minutes are nearly over, right? She brings me out in a rash. Genuinely one of the most unappealing British popstars since Lulu.

i don't 'try' to be funny. it's a forum, i don't overthink what i post to pander to anyone's humour, i literally just post. i get nothing out of it apart from expressing my opinion. had i known i was going to get a grilling for doing so in such a way i honestly wouldn't have bothered.

 

what i find nasty about it, since you've invited me to express, is that the picture is far too candid and awful - she looks like a deer in headlights. it's literally the album cover's layout shoddily redone to try and create a theme for the era - that slapped on 'nasty' text, the picture which just looks like a refused outtake for the album cover's picture - it's just awful.

I think Heart Cry as a proper single would have been a decent sized hit, from what we've heard of the Xtina version I'm not sure about Nasty... I'll wait to hear the full Pixie version but I don't have much anticipation for this album in all honesty :(

Every one of these points is correct, it's a shoddy cover. I don't really have very high standards for singles though and I would say she still looks somewhat pretty, so I'm sticking to "bland but OK". Being honest the pose for the album cover made me cringe more.
