I can't honestly see this album happening now, 'Home' was like half a year ago and we've not heard a smidgen of information since.

A real shame, she has a lot of talent- too much to waste.

You would have thought someone would have tried her on a collaboration at least!

If her Twitter is anything to go by, the album is ready to drop but the record label are holding it back. Not sure what for to be honest, if the money for writing/production/studio time has already been spent, why not take advantage of a quiet Q1/the return of The Voice on BBC1 and release it.

Maybe she'll get a guest promo slot on The Voice live shows? Otherwise there's nothing else to wait for.

I mean they're never gonna break even if they just release it of the back of a flop single

I don't really see what else they can do, 'Home' was a perfectly serviceable single and even featuring Will.U.Stop on it couldn't help anyone get on board.

 

Waiting for a performance slot on the show is a reasonable shout, but I can only imagine that providing a minimal boost at the most.

If she didn't get a hit/support with 'Home' then she won't do with anything.

 

I can think of possible reasons why other Voice contestants haven't recieved support with their material but 'Home' is a perfect radio-friendly song and certaintly does not sound out of place on Radio 1 or Capital at all.

I still have no idea why 'Home' wasn't supported by Capital or Radio 1.

 

The song itself was actually rather incredible, radio friendly and great pop. I don't think she has a chance of succedding which is a great shame and I wouldn't be too surprised if Will.I.am attempted to push her in America.

I still can't believe Home wasn't supported by radios it would've been one of the smashes of summer 2014 for sure! Realistically, Weird and Wonderful's not gonna happen now she's another Neon Hitch.

Yep, it's ridiculous Home didn't get supported :( Especially as The Voice is a BBC show and Radio 1 is obviously BBC too, I don't get why they'd not want to at least and try and do a bit to make the artists from the show a success!

i cannot believe this woman is younger than me. there is alas, nothing contemporary about her face or her name and that is ultimately a problem when you are trying to be a popstar.

Home was a really good pop single. Radio 1 at least should have supported it, I guess commercial radio just doesn't want to support a BBC show for whatever reason.

 

I think Leah had,has 3 issues

 

1. Her sound had a hint of jazz which can grate

2. They messed up with Ordinary Love as promo, that was dull as dishwater, and quite a few took that as the lead single

3. Her image is marmite, I personally like the quirky fashion which is unique. But obv a lot don't.

 

I hope they release Home,in the US but no signs of that at all.

I think Will needs to put her on his next single the majority of Will.I.Am's singles get supported by radio and end up doing really well and I think it could open doors for her . I really want her to do well because she has so much potential as a singer and probably one of the best voices to come out of a singing show IMO .

It's just got that jazz vibe which I don't like, sadly. I'd prefer her to go a pop route but hey I respect her sticking to her thing and maybe there is a niche for it.
