While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23.

Lol we could replace this for albums don't really sell very much during the summer so I'm waiting until the autumn/winter when I can take advantage of bigger sales!!

 

The 3rd quarter really is dead these days for album releases as loads are changing their releases until the XF season!!

Would expect the record company to push 'Under' around September time as it's already become a big hit in several European countries.

She's listed in MW but I had no idea who she is

I think its more likely that the record company have decided that its not good enough and asked her to come back with better material

It's been that way for many years now.

 

It has but the first 2 quarters have been different this year with alot if releases & high sales at the top end of the chart but the summer months are going to be slow with painful sales to endure!

OK - but the point is, the URLs didn't mention Birdy, so I didn't think to check them out.

The next single from the Stereophonics is 'We Share The Same Sun' and has been sent out to radio today with a release date of 12th Aug :-)

Surely Will I Am ft. Miley Cyrus – Fall Down can't still be out on July 22nd seen as Bang Bang is now being pushed. I expect Fall Down will be the next single.

Arcade Fire verses Arctic Monkeys,(Sept 9th release date) that will thefirst of no doubt many epic chart battles on the album charts this Autumn.

That was on the schedule before Bang Bang was performed on The Voice. I suspect that it has now been postponed/cancelled

Someone posted in the iTunes thread the other day that a DJ on Radio 1 said Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' has been brought forward to 14/7...

Was about to ask about "Wake Me Up"'s new released date, so glad you've posted it. Great decision by the label there, though I question whether it'll have built up ENOUGH hype to propel it straight to #1. Regardless of what happens, it's sure to be a long-selling track; just unsure whether it's first week sales will keep up with the 80k+ of "Love Me Again", "I Love It" and "Blurred Lines".
