Do you think people will stand up and sing along like at a real concert?

I hope not. I'll feel ridiculous singing to a screen....

 I'm sure it'll be a good night where ever you sit and even if the cinema is half full, it'll still be good, has to be, it's Robbie after all

Have fun to those going, I'll look forward to hearing all about it .

OK.. Just back from the cinema . I got my numbers right then 26 people in the audience as was indicated in the pre-booked seating .

My friend & I sat at the very back along with some other girls & we all sang along throughout the show. My friend has never been to a Robbie concert so this was the first time seeing him up close & she absolutely loved the show & Robbie as a performer , I loved seeing it again, I thought Robbie, the band & backing singers were on top form tonight & the Estonian people were a great audience.

Finally the show ran 20 mins late so there were people waiting outside to into the next viewing

I am glad I decided to go , loved it , thought Robbie was fantastic to put on such a great show even though his back was shagged

Just to let you know Ive been working late today and will be working late tomorrow so it will be Friday before I get a chance to post my review. Suffice to say it was a brilliant concert. So glad I decided to pop into the local cinema B-) . Speak soon. X

Sooooooo.....

Turned out the Robbie concert was moved into the biggest screen at my local cinema. Think it holds about 200 and was about half full so probably about 100 people there. Not bad for a Tuesday night at quite expensive prices. A real mixed crowd too. A gaggle of drunk lassies who whooped, danced and sung along to everything; a row of women pensioners ; quite a few couples; and me. Oh and the 2 girls sitting next to me who were very nice. Should have got their names but if they are reading this they'll know who they are :P (they were on a diet and resisted my wine gums :teresa: ).

Everyone seemed to really enjoy the concert anyway. :w00t:

I could see right away why Robbie had chosen to film the Tallinn concert. The concert surroundings were quite spectacular. More like Knebworth except with the sea nearby. The aerial shots were stunning. This concert is going to look great on dvd. Much more impressive than a poxy football stadium.

Think there was about 70,000 there to see him. And a very enthusiastic crowd they were at that. Waving Estonian flags and singing along to everything. I'm actually pleased we're going to get a dvd from a concert somewhere other than England. Nothing personal but the crowd reaction is always a wee bit different depending on the country. And I did like this crowd. A lot. I'm assuming the vast majority had never seen Robbie before and I think that kind of expectation and enthusiasm comes across in their reaction to him. Not like us cynical, jaded old fogies who perhaps take Robbie a bit for granted. Not that we don't enjoy his concerts. Just that the element of surprise is missing. In the main we know what to expect.

Anyway, as for the actual concert...

Robbie was in fantastic humour. Very witty and great banter with the crowd. He was in agony with a bad back all night and I don't think he bounced about as much as normal. But the plus side of this was that he sung a lot better than I've heard him sing in ages. His voice sounded really strong I thought. Maybe he should sit down a lot more when he sings. B-)

The set list was exactly the same as his other shows. And most of the jokes were the same. But he did ad-lib much more than at Glasgow. The section where he picks a girl from the audience was really funny. He couldn't pronounce her name and spent the whole song calling her Gunther Jane.

There was no Olly warm up section shown but Olly did join Robbie on Kids. Not sure the crowd had a clue who he was though. And it was funny when he sung a bit of Take That only to face blank, confused faces. Oh, he laughed. I guess Take That weren't well known in Estonia. You didn't quite get that reference did you?

We lost the connection for a couple of minutes during Sin Sin Sin. Not sure if this happened everywhere or just at my local cinema. But after someone shouted out to put some more money in the meter Robbie reappeared just in time for Bodies. :D

To conclude, I loved this concert and was really glad I went. The sound and picture quality were great. I'm definitely buying the dvd.
