It's only Wednesday.

I have 2 days of work first.

Anyone who knows me would tell you I am the most 'unexcitable' person ever. I may start feeling excitement by about 8pm on Friday. Or maybe 8.14. ;)

But at 8.15...... :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Alcohol ban on trains

CITY football and music fans heading to Glasgow this weekend face an alcohol ban on trains.

Around 150,000 people are set to attend either two sell-out concerts by pop superstar Robbie Williams at Hampden Park, or the match between Scotland and the Faroe Islands at Celtic Park on Saturday.

The ban will affect trains to and from Glasgow Queen Street before and after the events.

No drinking, no smoking. Welcome to Scotland!

Its not too bad, no drinking on trains only, I expect a lot of people will get plastered at home before they leave

Jup, how can you not be excited yet, with only 2 days to go. :yahoo:  I've been like this :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: since last November ;)

I'm away to do my daily check of Friday's weather forecast. Wonder what it'll be this time ? Hail? Snow? Fog? Plague of locusts?

This is just getting ridiculous. I've been on about a dozen Weather Websites and every one of them has a different forecast for Friday. :o

Heavy Showers, Scattered Showers, Light Rain, Occasional Drizzle, Partly Cloudy, Sunny Intervals, Clear Periods......

They all seem to be saying that Saturday is going to be a terribly rainy day though. Hope Saturday's bad weather doesn't arrive early.

Its hard to know what to wear  do you take water proof clothes, warm clothes, or everything, hat scarf and coat

Think I'll wear my big padded parka type anorak. And a scarf. And a hat. And gloves. It will be freezing cold whether it rains or not. <_<

Shouldn't need the waterproofs. I'm in the seats. They will be sheltered unless the rain is horizontal of course. -_-

ROBBIE Williams fans arriving in Glasgow for this weekend's shows have been warned not to drink on the streets.

The singer will play at Hampden tomorrow and Saturday to sell-out crowds of 55,000.

Police today welcomed fans to the city - but warned them to behave.

Chief Superintendent Robin Howe, head of policing for south Glasgow, said: "We are expecting a maximum capacity of 55,000 fans each night.

"However, due to the sheer volume of people attending, I would urge fans to make their way to the stadium in plenty time for the show.

"On this occasion, alcohol will be on sale within the stadium, but it should be noted that there are by-laws in existence prohibiting the drinking of alcohol in the streets outside.

"Beer and wine will be on sale within the stadium. But I would urge people to drink sensibly.

"We will have a full policing plan in place to ensure everyone's safety."

The concerts, featuring support Basement Jaxx and Orson, mark the start of a five-month tour for Williams  .

The gigs had sparked controversy because Saturday's date clashed with Scotland's first Euro 2008 football qualifying tie, which would have been played at Hampden.

The SFA was forced to find an alternative venue - Celtic Park - for the clash with the Faroe Islands.

Stadium gates at Hampden will open at 4pm and directions and traffic information is available online at www.strathclyde.police.uk

 love the bit about Basement Jaxx and Orson marking the start of the 5 month tour

Looks like everyone has to be on their bestest behaviour there  Lemonade shandy's all around ;)

Are you excited yet Jup? :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I will go at 10.30. ^_^

Have just been arranging times to meet friends tomorrow. Don't think we're going to get there in time for Orson but I'm hopeful for Basement Jax. ^_^

Depends how busy the roads are.

Basement Jaxx are supposed to be alot better than Orson. So hopefully you'll get there in time for them.
