It was the most amazing concert ever. :yahoo:

And the weather was great. Quite cold but clear skies. No rain.

Robbie said we were the loudest audience on his Tour. He was on for about 2 hours 5 mins. And it was dark throughout.

I'm going to have a cuppa then I'll do a full report.

Oh and he seemed to be in a great mood.

We all had to work today so it was a bit of a mad rush. Didn't get there in time to see Orson. And the roads surrounding Hampden were horrendous.

Arrived at the stadium about 7.15. Basement Jaxx were just starting. They were very colourful and the girls were really good singers. Their music is not really to my taste but they were ok.

Robbie arrived on stage just after 8.30. It was really quite dark by then and pitch black by 9.00. This was great as we could really appreciate all the fireworks and lights.

Anyway, the noise was tremendous. The place was totally packed. Not a seat to be had.

Our seats were actually good ( despite my fears beforehand). We were with the rest of the I.S. members in the section to the right of the stage. A very noisy corner!

We were in Row Q which was quite far down ( The rows in our part of Hampden ran from A-Z, then AA-ZZ, then AAA-EEE - right at the top.). We could see Robbie reasonably well and had a terrific view of the big screen.

The crowd had lots of banners, flags, loads of flashing hats etc. And we all did Mexican waves while waiting for him.

Anyway, Robbie appeared to tremendous screams.

He told us a couple of songs in that we were by far the loudest audience of this Tour. He said that for the first time on the Tour he couldn't hear the band through his earpieces because of the deafening racket coming from us.

And he did seem genuinely touched. He kept saying things like '****ing Hell' and Shaking his head in wonder.

And we all sang every word to every song.

Johnny was there of course. He got a great reception. Robbie won the football. They did their Stayin Alive crazy dance and Strong was a highlight. Johnny said something to Robbie along the lines of 'See I told you this would be a great one'. :P

Robbie ripped his T-Shirt to show us all that his heart belonged to us. He immediately regretted it as he was quite clearly freezing and proceeded to wrap his towel around his neck and use it as a scarf. He did flash his swallows but no real nudity. :(

But he said he had seen more boobs flashed at him tonight than in the rest of the concerts put together ( even though it was really cold here).

Anyway, the rest of the act was much the same as before. He sung a selection of Take That songs before launching into Back for Good. And told the doctor story (again).

After Angels, he sang a bit of She's the One (without music). Then he sang Kids to close the show. A little over 2 hours in total.

As he was leaving the stage he shouted to his band something like 'Now that was a ****ing Gig' and told us all he'd 'See Us Next Time'

And he did seem in genuinely good humour throughout. To my eyes it appeared he was really relaxed and enjoying himself.

My Highlights-

Rock DJ

Monsoon

Feel

Let Me Entertain You

Angels

Crowd didn't seem overly keen on Advertising Space and I would say Rudebox got rather a 'mixed' reception ( at least where I was standing).

But it really was a great concert. The place, as they say, was 'jumping'. :yahoo:

The End.

Thanks for that Jupiter - sounds like you had a fantastic night! So good to hear that Robbie was enjoying himself and that the crowd were so loud!

Well done Scotland!

No.

I only have a very cheap camera phone and it doesn't take pix very well in the dark. But here's a photo just to show how dark it was at the concert.

I took this from my seat just as I arrived. Stadium only about half full at the time.

Fantastic Jupiter. So glad you had a brilliant time and that the crowd was completely with him. Are you going to the 2nd show too?
